The TSTET Application Form 2024 was extended by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana. Candidates could register and edit their TSTET Application Form till April 20, 2024. Earlier, the last date to register for TSTET 2024 exam was April 10, 2024. Candidates who want to appear for the TSTET 2024 exam can apply online by registering through the official website- tstet2024.aptonline.in. TSTET Application Form 2024 was activated on the official website by the Department of School Education, the Government of Telangana on March 27, 2024. 

The TSTET application process comprises various stages such as payment of fee, filling of the application form and uploading of documents. TS TET is held annually to determine the eligibility of candidates who want to teach in Telangana's primary and upper primary schools. Q:   What is the Eligibility Criteria to apply for the TSTET exam?

Before applying for the TSTET 2024 exam, candidates should ensure that they possess the prescribed TSTET eligibility criteria 2024 in terms of educational qualifications and age limit. The TSTET eligibility criteria differ for Paper 1 and Paper 2 as mentioned below:

TSTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5)-

  • Candidates applying for Paper 1 should fulfil either of the criteria mentioned below in order to meet the TS TET eligibility criteria.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Senior Secondary with at least 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently-abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to DElEd/ DEd course prior to the issue of guidelines (23-Dec-2015) OR Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (Special Education)

TSTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8)-

  • Candidates applying for Paper 2 should fulfil either of the criteria mentioned below in order to meet the TS TET eligibility criteria.
  • BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education) OR BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to BEd prior to the issue of guidelines (23-Dec-2015) OR 4-year BAEd/ BScEd with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) OR For Language Teachers, Graduation with the language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of Oriental language OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ BEd with language concerned as one of the Methodologies OR BE/ BTech with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently abled candidates) and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (BEd) or BEd (Special Education)

Candidates who want to appear for the TSTET 2024 exam can apply online. Q:   What is the TSTET Exam Process 2024?

A:

  • Step 1: TSTET Application Form Prior to filling out the TSTET application form, candidates need to pay the application fee. Candidates can pay a TSTET application fee of INR 400 online through TS ONLINE or a payment gateway. On successful payment of the application fee, a journal number will be issued to candidates with which they can proceed with the submission of the application form. Candidates now need to fill TSTET application form online mode on the official website of the exam.
  • Step 2: TSTET Hall Ticket Candidates can download the TSTET hall ticket from the official website of the exam. TSTET admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre.
  • Step 3: TSTET Exam 2023 Candidates need to appear for the TSTET exam at the allotted exam centre. Candidates can report to the centre 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. Candidates reaching the centre after the commencement of the TSTET exam may not be allowed to write the test paper.
  • Step 4: TSTET Result Declaration TSTET result is declared on the official website. To check the result, candidates first need to click the TSTET Result link present on the Home page of the website. Next, candidates need to enter their hall ticket number in the space provided.

How to Apply Online for TS TET 2024?

Candidates need to fill out the TSTET Application Form 2024 in online mode as per the steps mentioned below:

At the payment gateway, candidates need to enter some basic information such as their name, date of birth, mobile number, etc. On receipt of the fee, candidates will be allotted a journal number to proceed toward the next step of the TSTET application process.

Step 2: Fill TS TET Application Form 2024

Next, candidates need to start filling out the TSTET application form 2024 by following the given steps:

  • Visit the official website- tstet.cgg.gov.in
  • Click on the ‘Online Application Form’ link
  • Click ‘Yes or No’ if you are appearing for a professional course exam this year
  • Enter the Journal Number, Date of Payment, Date of Birth issued at the time of Online payment
  • Tick the declaration and enter the verification code
  • Click on ‘Verify & Next’
  • Fill in the mandatory fields
  • Upload the scanned image of the photo and save
  • Fill the mandatory fields in the ‘Paper and Qualification’ and ‘X-Class and Previous TET details’ sections
  • Submit and save the confirmation page

After the successful submission of the TSTET application form, a Candidate ID along with an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidates.

Note: The official website informs, “Candidates are not required to send hard copy of confirmation page to TSTET unit.”

Q:   What is the exam pattern of TSTET Exam?

A:

The TSTET Exam Pattern lays down the structure of the question paper. The TSTET Exam Pattern 2024 differs for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Have a look at the highlights of the exam pattern below: a) TSTET exam contains 150 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in each paper- Paper 1 and Paper 2 b) Each paper is of 150 marks c) The time duration given to complete a TSTET paper is 150 minutes (two hours and thirty minutes). .

 

Q:   Can I pay the TSTET application fee through demand draft?

A:

No, the TSTET application fee cannot be paid by candidates through demand draft. The application fee for TSTET can be paid through various modes such as online payment using credit/debit card, net banking, and e-wallets. Once the official notification for TSTET 2024 is released, the mode of payment for the application fee will be available in the notification brochure. It is recommended that candidates carefully read and follow the instructions given in the application form to avoid any errors or discrepancies while paying the application fee.

 

Q:   Can I edit the TSTET application form after the final submission?

A:

No, once the TSTET application form is submitted, you cannot make any changes to the online form. So, candidates are advised to check their application form carefully before submitting it on the portal. The Department of School Education, the Government of Telangana does not provide the facility for online form correction. Therefore, you are advised to fill all particulars in the application form carefully. Candidates who want to appear for the TSTET examination need to apply online for the exam through the official website. To fill the TSTET application form, candidates need to visit the official website, click on the apply online link, pay the application fee and fill the application form.

TSTET Eligibility Criteria 2024

The candidates who want to appear for TSTET 2024 exam have to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test 2024. The TSTET 2024 exam is divided into two categories: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates clearing TSTET Paper 1 exam will be eligible for teaching posts in primary classes (classes 1 to 5) and those who will qualify for the TSTET Paper 2 exam will be eligible to teach in the upper primary classes (classes 6 to 8). The eligibility criteria have been discussed below in the article.  

TSTET 2024 Educational Qualification for Paper 1  

The educational qualification has been discussed below for the TSTET 2024 Paper 1 exam

  • Candidates having 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of 50 per cent mark are eligible for this examination. For OBC/PwD/SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks are 45 per cent 
  • Candidates must possess a two-year Diploma in Special Education/4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B El Ed)/a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education 

Or,  

  • Candidates must have a 10+2 degree from a recognized board or equivalent with an aggregate of 45 per cent marks. For OBC/PwD SC/ST candidates, it remains to be 45% in the 10+2 examination
  • Candidates should have a two-year Diploma in Special Education/a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education/a four-year BElEd

TSTET 2024 Age Limit for Paper 1  

Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test does not have any upper age limit to apply for TSTET 2024. However, the candidates must be above 18 years old to apply for TSTET 2024 Paper 1.  

TSTET 2024 Paper 2 Educational Qualification 

The TSTET educational qualification for Paper 2 is slightly different from TSTET Paper 1. The educational qualification details have been given below for the TSTET Paper 2 exam

  • Candidates must have completed their BCom/ BA/ BSc with a minimum of 50 per cent in aggregate. For OBC/PwD/SC/ST candidates, an aggregate of 45 per cent marks is required  
  • Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Education specializing in Special Education/ Bachelor’s Degree in Education (BEd)

Or, 

  • Candidates must have qualified BSc /BCom/BA with 50 per cent aggregate marks. OBC/PwD/SC/ST candidates can apply with 40 per cent aggregate marks
  • Aspirants must have a Bachelor of Education specializing in Special Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (BEd)

 Or, 

  • Candidates should have cleared a four-year BA Ed / BScEd course with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks. OBC/ PwD/SC/ ST candidates can apply with 45 per cent aggregate marks

Or, 

  • Candidates must qualify for Graduation in Literature/ Bachelor of Oriental Language or its equivalent/ Post-Graduation in the language concerned/ Graduation with Language as one of the optional subjects
  • Aspirants must also have cleared BEd or have a Language Pandit Training Certificate. This criterion is required for language teachers only

Note: Candidates appearing for the final year Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor of Education examination are also eligible to apply for the Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test examination 2024.

Age Limit Criteria 2024 for Paper 2 

Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test does not have any upper age limit to apply for TSTET 2024. However, the candidates must be above 18 years old to apply for TSTET 2024 Paper 2.  

TSTET 2024 Exam Pattern

The TSTET exam pattern has been given below for the candidates aspiring to be a teacher in primary and upper primary schools of Telangana. The candidates can prepare a strategy around the exam pattern of TSTET 2024:

  • TSTET Exam is conducted for two papers- Paper 1 (Classes 1-5) and Paper 2 (Classes 6-8)
  • Each paper carries 150 marks for 150 questions
  • Duration of TSTET exam- 1 hour and 30 minutes
