Chandigarh Group of Colleges prescribes the CGCUET 2026 exam pattern. As per the exam pattern, the question paper will be divided into two sections. The sections for each stream will be different. CGCUET 2026 will be conducted in online mode only.

A: 

The CGC mohal conducts CGCUET, scholarship examination for students willing to pursue higher studies. Those in search of financial help to pursue undergraduate programs in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Computer Application, Journalism, or Science fields must take this examination.

Q:   What is CGCUET Process?
A: 

CGC admission process is conducted as:

  • Visit official website of CGCUET to sign up.
  • Pay the fee and schedule exam slot within 15 days or before deadline.
  • Once completed, check syllabus and sample papers.
  • Take CGCUET examination on scheduled date and time.
  • Results are declared within 24 hours.

Q:   Is it compulsory to appear for CGCUET Part A?
A: 

Yes, it is compulsory for all students to appear for CGCUET exam Part A. The Part A will consist of four sections i.e., Basic English, Basic Computers, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Knowledge which is compulsory for all. The subjects in Part B will vary for candidates according to their stream.

Q:   Is there negative marking in CGCUET?
A: 

No, there is no negative marking in CGCUET exam. As per CGCUET marking pattern:

  • Candidate will get two marks for every correct answer.
  • No marks will be given for wrong answer.

CGCUET exam will include 50 questions, 25 questions in Part A and 25 queestions in Part B. The total marks for CGCUET exam is 100 marks.

Q:   Can I reschedule the CGCUET?
A: 

Yes, candidates can reschedule the CGCUET exam date within the 15 days of registration. Students will not be able to reschedule the exam date of they surpass the 15 days from the date of the registration. Candidates will get the second chance of exam if they missed it on the first chance. Stage 1 of CGCUET is conducted from December to May and Stage 2 is conducted from June 2025 to August end 2025.

Q:   Which courses are offered through CGCUET?
A: 

Candidates seeking financial assistance for higher education in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Law, Computer Applications, Journalism, or Science must take the CGCUET. The scholarship is available only for undergraduate programs, and the CGCUET Scholarship is awarded based on the points earned in the exam.
