The top hospitality entrance exam, NCHM JEE, will be held on April 27, 2025. NCHMCT JEE 2025 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test mode from 9 am to 12 pm. Candidates are advised to plan their test day to make the most of their exam preparation. This article is a reminder for all the test-takers appearing for NCHMCT JEE so they can avoid common mistakes.
Common Mistakes Test-takers on the NCHMCT JEE 2025 exam day:
Reporting late at the exam centre - Generally, a test-taker must reach the NCHM JEE exam centre at least 30 minutes before the reporting time. However, in some cases, there can be traffic-related issues making candidates reach late to the exam centre. Therefore, candidates must ensure starting their journey to the exam centre keeping traffic or any unexpected scenarios in mind. The exam and reporting timings for NCHMCT JEE 2025 is as under:

Not following COVID-19 Protocols - Candidates appearing for NCHM JEE 2025 must follow the COVID-safety guidelines at the test centre. If you ignore the COVID-safety protocols then the exam centre officials may not allow you to take the examination. Some of the COVID-related instructions for NCHM JEE 2025 exam day are:
- Wear mask properly (should not be below nose)
- Maintain safe distance from fellow candidates
- Follow all the exam centre instructions as per the announcements
- Bring a Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear copy, duly filled in to be carried along with NCHM JEE 2024 admit card)
- Bring a personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- Bring a personal transparent water bottle
- Bring Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
Not carrying NCHM JEE 2025 admit card and related documents - Candidates need to carry the admit card and a supporting ID proof (with photograph). Therefore, candidates should carry the following documents and items on the exam day besides the admit card for NCHMCT JEE :
- Any one of the Photo ID Proofs (Voter ID, Passport, DL, Aadhaar, PAN Card etc.)
- Scribe approval letter for SAP/ PWD candidates as issued by NTA
- A simple BallPoint Pen (it should have transparent barrel)
- 2 passport size photograph
Carrying bags, mobile phones, and books - Candidates should avoid carrying any kind of belongings such as bags, electronic devices, digital watch, earplugs (except for hearing aids) and study material. The examination centre will not be responsible for keeping it inside the examination hall, or security of these belongings. As mentioned in the information brochure of NCHM JEE 2025, the exam authority stated, “Candidates are NOT allowed to carry Instruments, Geometry or Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room. Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting etc. in the Examination Room/Hall is strictly prohibited”
Candidates should be careful and plan their day in advance, so as to maintain peace of mind while taking the exam.
