A:
Hi, STEP is more hands-on with heaps of practical training, in addition to practical training in a hotel of The Oberoi Group, you are enrolled for a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Studies (BTS) from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). But with STEP, you're restricted to working only with The Oberoi Group. Qualities they are looking for: 1. A positive attitude with a desire for excellence 2. Good communication skills in English 3. Strong interpersonal skills 4. Initiative, drive and an eye for detail 5. Team orientation Just be confident while answering them.
Q:   I have got 60% in 10th in English and 5.2 CGPA. Am I eligible for Oberoi STEP training programme for food and beverage service?
A:
Minimum requirements: The candidate should be above 18 years and below 20 years of age, as on 15th August of the year of the commencement of the programme. The candidate should have attained a clear pass in class XII as on 1st July of the year of the commencement of the programme, from a board recognised by the Indira Gandhi National Open University, India. For hotel operations programme (Front Office / Food and Beverage Service focus) and kitchen operations programme. The candidate should have obtained 61% marks or above, in English in class X. The equivalent in CBSE is a B2 Grade or a 7 Grade Point. For Hotel Operations Programme (Housekeeping focus) The candidate should have obtained 51% marks or above, in English in class X. The equivalent in CBSE is a C1 Grade or a 6 Grade Point. Qualities we are looking for A positive attitude with a desire for excellence Good communication skills in English Strong interpersonal skills Initiative, drive and an eye for detail Team orientation Selection process Come to the venue of the selection process on the date you have chosen. Please arrive on time. You will not be admitted once the process starts. On the day of the interview, the candidate must bring the following documents with him/her: Self-attested copies of the following: One print-out of their application form along with one passport-size photograph. One copy of their class X certificate. If the candidate's certificate does not mention their date of birth, one copy of their birth certificate will be required. One copy of their class XII certificate. The candidate should be deemed medically fit by our company doctor. All the testimonials should be verified as authentic. A typical selection day will commence with candidates registering for one of the programmes. Thereafter, the candidates would go through three rounds of selection activities: Round 1: Candidates are divided into groups of 15-20 participants and are taken through a round of activities and questionnaires. Here, the evaluator checks the candidates grooming, poise and spoken English. Round 2: Short-listed candidates from Round 1 are taken to another round of activities on the same day including a one-on-one meeting with a panel comprising of faculty. Here, the evaluator gets to know them better and checks their aptitude for hospitality. Round 3: Short-listed candidates from Round 2 will be invited for another round of activities and questionnaires including a final interview with a panel.
Q:   Are Kashmiri Migrant candidates eligible for reservation?

Yes. One seat per IHM (state and central government affiliated) is reserved for Kashmiri Migrant (KM) candidates.

Hotel Manager

He/she is the overall in-charge of a hotel. A hotel manager is the one responsible to maintain the standards of service and providing facilities to guests. A hotel manager supervises the working of the housekeeping department, ensures that good quality food is offered to guests and is also involved with the working of the banquet department.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for MAH HM CET 2026?
A:

The candidates must be Indian citizens with at least 45% marks in HSC exam for UG programs. For PG programs, a Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology with 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories and PWD is mandatory. 

Q:   What is the age limit for appearing in NCHMCT JEE 2026?
A:

The age limit for appearing in NCHMCT JEE 2026 is 25 years for General / EWS / OBC candidates and 27 years for SC / ST / PwD students as of July 1, 2026.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2026?
A:

Candidates must have passed or be appearing in 12 or equivalent examination with English as a compulsory subject to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2026. The exam has no minimum marks requirement.

Front Office Manager

People with such a profile oversee the work of receptionists, reservation clerks, information clerk as well as other personnel such as the doorman and the bell boy. Steward

Hotel stewards are responsible for ensuring that the necessary cutlery is laid out at the hotel’s restaurants along with ensuring that the banquet rooms have adequate and proper furnishings. However, the responsibility of a steward does not end there. They also need to ensure that the food for room service is prepared quickly and orders are filled quickly, properly and accurately.

Stewards also need to have a good memory and remember all the order specifications accurately.

Housekeeping Manager
