NIELIT 2026 Centres in India: The list of NIELIT 2026 centres has been released. Candidates can check out the NIELIT city-wise list, popular courses, exam details, eligibility, result and more. Any NIELIT exam centre can be selected as per the preferred location and course. NIELIT centres are divided into five zones across India.

NIELIT Centres in India: The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) conducts NIELIT to provide admissions to eligible students into the offered formal and non-formal courses. NIELIT is conducted twice a year (O/A/B/C level) and once a month [DLC (CCC/BCC/CCCP/ECC/ACC)]. All students have to register for the examination online at student.nielit.gov.in. As per the NIELIT centres selected by the candidates, the allotment will be done by the authorities. NIELIT is held in five zones - North, North-East, East, South and West Zone. Q:   Which entrance exam scores are accepted for seat allotment at NIELIT Patna?

NIELIT Patna seat allocation is done through JoSAA. The JoSAA takes into account the scores obtained by cadidates in the JEE Mains entrance exam. Thus, candidates who wish to take admissions into BTech courses at NIELIT Patna need to clear the JEE Mains entrance exam to gain admissions. The NIELIT Patna cutoff for the BTech course stood at 63949 in 2025.

Q:   Can I get admission in NIELIT Ajmer for UG Diploma with 60% in Class 12th?

Yes, students seeking admissions in UG Diploma courses at NIELIT Ajmer are eligible to apply for admissions if they have cleared class 12th with 60% from a CBSE board. Students must have passed all the subjects in class 12th. NIELIT Ajmer admission to short-term courses is based on the academic merit of the candidates. Along with this, students must also appear for and clear the NIELIT entrance exam. Candidates can apply online through the student portal of NIELIT. Students must submit an application form before the due date for admissions.

Eligibility Criteria of NIELIT Exam

The eligibility criteria for NIELIT exams are as follows:

Graduates can appear directly for all four modules

Accredited course students can appear for:

  • 2 modules after 6 months
  • The remaining two modules after 1 year
  • 12th pass students

A Level (Duration: 1 -1.5 years)

  • Passed O Level + 1 year A Level course 

          OR 

  • Graduate/Diploma (3 years after 12th) + 1 year course at accredited institute
  • O Level qualifiers

B Level (equivalent to MCA) (Duration: 2+ years)

  • Passed A Level + 1.5-year B Level course
    OR 
  • Direct entry for B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc./MCA or equivalent

NIELIT Exam Centres

The examination will be conducted at exam centres across India. The exam centres of NIELIT are divided into Primary and Secondary centres. The exams will be held at all Primary centres. The centres will depend on the number of candidates appearing for the exam. Candidates who choose one of the Secondary centres as a first choice in their application forms for examinations are required to give a Primary centre as a second choice.
