NIELIT offers a total of five categories. Under these categories, candidates can pursue various types of courses.

Commonly asked questions
There is no specific number as such. However, at each level, a candidate needs to complete the papers within the stipulated period. At NIELIT O/A/B/C levels, candidates can appear in any paper, in any order, if the subject has been covered by the institution running the accredited course and as mentioned on the application form. Candidates can directly appear in examinations if they satisfy the eligibility criteria as applicable to them.
To pass the NIELIT O/A/B and C levels, a candidate must score 50% marks in each module. The NIELIT O/A/B/C level results will be declared on the official site.
NIELIT Calicut offers certificate courses in different modes of study: online mode and full-time. Candidates can prefer their mode of study according to their convenience. Additionally, the mode of the study also depends on the course applicants have been selected for, such as EV Technology & Public Charging Station, PG Program in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, etc., offered in online mode.

Yes, the candidates will be able to seek the Common Service Centre services to fill out the NIELIT Online Examination Application Forms (OEAF). The required examination fee can also be paid through the CSC services. Candidates are advised to complete the NIELIT OEAF process before the final date to be registered for the entrance examination of their course.
NIELIT Calicut offers M.Tech in three specialisations. The names of the offered specialisations are Embedded Systems, Electronics Design and Technology, and Automotive Electronics. The eligibility requirements and admission process of every offered specialsiations are similar. Moreover, candidates having a valid GATE score shall be given preference for admission and are eligible for a scholarship from AICTE.

NIELIT Centres in India
There are five zones: North East Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone, and Central Zone. Under these zones, 41 offices are located across India, with its Headquarters at New Delhi, to conduct exams for various courses. The NIELIT exam is conducted twice a year, January and April.

Is NIELIT a private or Government?
A. NIELIT is an autonomous society which conducts NIELIT exam to offer admission courses ‘O' (Foundation Level), ‘A' (Advanced Diploma), ‘B' (MCA Equivalent) and ‘C' (MTech Level in Computer Science and Engineering). IT literacy courses such as CCC (Course on Computer Concept), BCC (Basic Computer Course) and other such long term and short term course in the non-formal sector like courses on Information Security, ITeS-BPO(Customer Care/Banking), Computer Hardware Maintenance (CHM-O/A level), Bio-Informatics (BI-O/A/B level), ESDM etc, besides, high-end courses offered by NIELIT Centres in India at Post-Graduate level (MTech) in Electronics Design & Technology, Embedded Systems etc. which are not normally offered by Universities/Institutions in the formal sector, in association with the respective state Universities.
How do I pay my NIELIT fee?
A. No Course fee for SC-ST Candidate for NSQF Aligned Courses as per Govt. Norms. A candidate can pay the fee online through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI after registration process.
