This 21 days lockdown is a long break for any MBA student for the batch of 2019-21 and there are many more things that can be done. As all our classes at IIM Rohtak along with exams were before the lockdown so there are various ways to use this valuable time.

Online Courses

There are a lot of online certification courses available in Udemy, Coursera, Finshiksha and all which can be completed during this Lockdown period and can be used to enhance your skills.

Live Projects

Many organizations are rolling out 15-30 days Live Projects or Virtual internships which can add a great value to your resume in the coming days and you can have hands-on experience in multiple domains that will help a lot during the interviews.

Networking

This is a great time to increase your network in Professional networks like LinkedIn which can be done by connecting with industry stalwarts, creating content and following trending topics. This will help you to be updated with the current trends of the market in your domain

Following the News

This is one of the most important parts as this pandemic situation and lockdown will impact each and every business, industry and economy hence there will be multiple questions which will be discussed during next year’s campus placement processes. Hence keeping yourself updated with the same will help you a lot and will also utilize your time fruitfully.

Getting connected with old friends

This might sound funny but a survey suggests that Coronavirus has affected all aspects of our lives and the constant news about the pandemic can feel never-ending. Not only is it impacting our physical health but it is taking its toll on some people's mental health too. Hence by connecting with old school and college friends, you will be able to cherish the old memories and will make you joyful as well as let them feel good. It may also help them to spend time and everybody has enough time to spend now.

2008 Recession and how companies fought back

Well, most of the financial institutions have predicted an economic slowdown like 2008 or even worse.  So by reading cases and steps taken by various companies during the time and to see how companies revived after 10 years will give a fair idea about how big companies will come up with solutions in the coming days.

New habits

Always wondered that I could have started this if I had the time, then this is the right time to start any such habit. That may be designing something, drawing, writing, cooking or maybe playing some games.

This lockdown might have created a lot of issues in our lives and might bring some more challenges but somewhat or the other, it will make us stronger and more prepared as well.
