CLAT 2026 question paper PDF for both UG and PG courses was released by the Consortium of NLUs after the exam. Consortium of NLUs released the CLAT 2026 Question paper format on its official portal before the exam. The Consortium also released the answer key to the CLAT 2026 question paper after the exam.

CLAT 2026 question paper PDF is available here for downloading purposes. The Consortium of NLUs conducted the CLAT exam 2026 on December 7, 2025. CLAT 2026 Question Paper PDF: The Consortium of National Law Universities conducted the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 on December 7, 2025, nationwide. The candidates were required to mark their answers on the OMR sheet provided at the exam centre. CLAT previous year question papers are the most important source of exam preparation. The candidates are advised to solve the previous year's question paper to score better in the CLAT. 

Candidates can download the official CLAT question paper PDFs for preparation purposes. They can correlate the official answers provided by the Consortium to get the real answers to the confusing/difficult questions asked in the exam. According to the CLAT exam pattern, there will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating the total marks of a candidate. Hence, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better to leave it unattempted rather than doing a guess work, to avoid negative marking.

CLAT UG Question Paper Analysis (Previous Year)

Candidates can check CLAT question paper Analysis of previous years provided by Shiksha based on the inputs received from test-takers at the exam centre. This will help them to understand the overall difficulty and also what to expect

  • Rohit, one of the students, said the exam was moderate, with Legal Reasoning and English as easiest and Maths as toughest. He expects a score between 70–80, and feels he has a fair chance due to his category.
  • Utkarsh found the exam slightly tough, mainly Logical Reasoning, and rated the difficulty level 8 out of 10. He attempted around 110 questions, but isn’t sure about his score or cut-off expectations.
  • Suhana said the exam was moderate but lengthy, with the quant section being the most difficult. She said there were multiple tricky questions from patterns and logical relations, and expects cut-offs around 95 for top NLUs.
  • Faraz felt the paper was more difficult than expected, with Legal Reasoning easiest and Quant lengthy and more calculation-based. He is hopeful due to strong Current Affairs performance.

Q:   Can I practice CLAT sample papers?
A: 

Yes, candidates who have registered for the CLAT exam can access the sample papers through their login credentials. 

Q:   How many questions are there in CLAT Exam?
A: 

In CLAT Exam there will be 120 questions. The exam paper will be in MCQ format. Candidates will get 120 minutes to complete the paper. Since there is a negative marking candidates must attempt carefully.

Q:   Is there negative marking in CLAT Exam?
A: 

Yes there is negative marking in CLAT Exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted if the answer is wrong. For each correct answer one marks will be awarded. 

Q:   Is it necessary to pass in individual sections of CLAT?
A: 

There will be no sectional qualifying criterion for CLAT 2027. The overall marks will be considered while preparing the merit list for CLAT. But to ensure a good score, candidates must ensure a high number of attempts with full accuracy.

Candidates are required to pay the CLAT Registration/Form fee as per their category. The Consortium prescribed the category-wise form fee. Without submitting the CLAT form fee, the registration will not be completed.

No, a domicile certificate is not mandatory for all candidates. It is only required if you intend to claim a reservation/ seat under state quota (offered by specific NLUs). Students can skip this document if they are applying solely under the All-India open category.

Yes, only Indian Citizens can fill and appear in CLAT. The Foreign nationals can take admission in NLUs but through different official channel.

No, candidates who fulfill OP Jindal Global University BBA LLB (hons) eligibility criteria cannot apply with a CLAT-UG score. This institute only accepts admission based on LNAT-UK exam. No other entrance exams are accepted during admissions to this course.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) notified that the CLAT 2027 exam date is December 6, 2026. The exam will be held offline in pen-and-paper mode.

The Consortium of NLUs activated the CLAT Registration form on August 3. The candidates should note that the last date to register for CLAT 2027 is October 31. The Consortium notified that the CLAT 2027 exam date is Dcember 6.

No, there is no such provision given by the Consortium to fill the CLAT registration form offline. Candidates must complete the CLAT 2027 registration 2027 on or before the last date. The candidates should note that the CLAT 2027 exam date is December 6.

CLAT does not give a fixed number for grammar. The exam is fully passage-based. Grammar is tested inside English Language, which carries around 20% weightage.
