Seat intake hiked

Lucknow University is planning to increase seat intake in its MBA programmes from the forthcoming academic session.

According to reports, seats in popular programmes like MBA in Marketing and MBA in Finance Control will be doubled. Currently there are 60 seats in these programmes, from the upcoming session the number of seats will be increased to 120 seats.

However the university has decided to reduce the number of seats in lesser popular MBA programmes of the university. Number of seats in MBA in Corporate Management and MBA in Retail Management and management sciences - will be reduced from 60 each to 30 each.

"For 540 students enrolled in eight MBA courses, there are 32 teachers, fulfilling the required 1:15 teacher-student ratio," LU vice-chancellor S P Singh was quoted as saying by a leading daily.

The final decision regarding the same will be taken by the admission committee in a meeting scheduled for March 17 and 18, 2017.

Meanwhile, registration for admissions to Lucknow University is all set to begin from March 20. This year, admission to all courses will be conducted online. This is the first time the university will be conducting admissions through online centralized admission process.

First, registrations will begin for MBA programmes on March 20 followed by BBA programmes on March 27. For regular courses like BA, B Com, B Sc and other courses will start on April 3. Detailed schedule and admission process is yet to be announced.
