P2 - So I was going through your graduation marks and they’re very low. Why so?

P2 - What does Discipline mean?
Me - Discipline can refer to anything from following the rules of an organization to discipline in a personal capacity like while following a fitness regime.
P2 - You already have a 3-year business degree, why MBA?
Me - I haven’t received formal education in Human Resources. The only specializations offered during BBA were Finance and Marketing. Also, all my HR knowledge is first-hand from working in recruitment. I want to combine theory with practical and also gain knowledge of other HR Domains. I want to pursue a career in HR hence a specialized degree will build a foundation for my HR knowledge base.

Me – Sir, I don’t have a BM call.
P1 – Ohhh! can’t test you then.
(Everyone is laughing again)

Me - OB & HRM.
P2 -Which one do you prefer?
Me – OB.
P2 - What is a job role?
Me - Answered from recruitment POV.
Was not the answer expected
Me - Sir can I take a guess?
P1 (laughing) - no guesswork here, keep that to recruitment only.
P3 - We have courses here on IR & LR what is the difference.
Me - Said I am not sure.
P1 - It was great to meet you Asmeet, wish you a good day and good luck!
My thoughts:
Overall, the most entertaining interview I’ve given to date. Halfway through the interview, the panellists eased up to me. The last 10 minutes had a lot of laughter. Post the interview I was unsure whether that was a good thing or not? Seems like it was!
Verdict: Converted
