They must start practicing the mock tests only after completing the syllabus so that they can assess their performance correctly on each topic.

A: Ideally, a fresher with non-technical background should start XAT 2024 preparation in by March 2023 so that they have about nine months to study. However, one can prepare for XAT exam even in six months depending on how much time they can dedicate every day. The key is smart planning. If a candidates has already appeared for the XAT once, they will require even lesser time for preparation. 

Q: How much time should I spend on completing the XAT syllabus?

A: There is no definite time one should spend on completing the XAT syllabus. Some students complete the syllabus in two months while some take four months. The key is to complete the syllabus at least 45 days before the exam so that one can spend the remaining days in practicing XAT mock tests and revision.

Q: What is the XAT 2024 exam pattern? Is there negative marking?

A: XAT is an online mode exam. The duration is 3 hours and 10 minutes. The XAT question paper is divided into two parts. Part 1 includes Verbal, Quant and Decision Making section to be completed in 175 minutes, Part 2 - Mock Keyboard Testing is for 5 minutes and Part 3 consists of GK section and an essay to be completed in 30 minutes. For each correct attempt one mark is awarded and for each wrong entry -0.25 mark is deducted.

Q: How many questions should I solve to score 99 per centile in XAT?
