I cleared my 10^th in 2007. After that I was sure that I am going to choose a non-medical science stream, reason being that I loved Physics & Maths. Also, my parents were also inclined towards the same. I started my preparations simultaneously for Engineering Entrance Exams, but due to lack of preparation, or you can say due to procrastination I could not perform well in my AIEEE exam. I ended up in an average Engineering College & was confused at that time whether to choose Computer science or Electronics.

After consulting some faculty members, I zeroed on ECE. During engineering college days I learnt a lot from my peers & faculty who supported me completely. After my graduation, I got on campus placement in an automation industry. I worked there for 2 years. It was site job & lot of travel was a part of it. I was not earning much though, & after some time I realised the importance of management degree for career growth. I started preparing for CAT with the help of online classes of Ravi Handa Sir. I scored 77 percentile in CAT 2015 & 87 percentile in CMAT. I got selected in a few good b-schools. It was brain storming task to finalize a B-school for myself as I wanted best of ROI. After vigorous research & consultation from various top faculties of CAT coaching centers & personally talking to the college students of at that time, I chose SDMIMD, Mysore as it has every attribute of a world class B-school.

How I cracked college admission

I prepared for 2 hours a day, as I was doing job which requires lot of time & effort. Somehow I manage to spend 1-2 hour every day for solving CAT questions. Ravi Handa online coaching helped me a lot for preparing for entrance exam. I gave CAT, CMAT & XAT. I was trying for Welingkar Mumbai, but I was not able to clear the interviews. Apart from that I got selected in SDMIMD Mysore, BIMM, Pune, XIME Bangalore, SIESCOM, IBS Hyderabad, and IMT Nagpur. I chose SDMIMD Mysore over all these colleges.

My college life

To be frank, in SDMIMD, you don't have much free time as most of the time students are busy in doing their group activity tasks or individual projects. But whenever I get free time I do workout in college gym. Sometimes, I also play cricket & table tennis with my friends. Mysore is one of the best places for tourism in India. I went to Coorg, Ooty & Pondicherry whenever I got 2-3 days off clubbed together. People of Mysore are friendly & supportive. Faculty & environment of SDMIMD is one of the best in South India. SDMIMD infrastructure is among the top 5 beautiful campuses in India. SDMIMD has Crisil rating, ACBSP CERTIFICATION & recently got India's firs EFMD certificate. EFMD is an international organisation with 900 members from academia & business in 86 countries. If given a chance I would like to market this college in North India as SDMIMD never does marketing like other B-schools, because it believes that post graduate students are sensible enough to judge the performance of a B-school rather than forced & paid advertisements what some other B-schools do.

My college experience has improved me a lot in a better way. I learnt how to manage time effectively. Apart from this, we have students from 21 states of India, so to interact & live with such a diversity is itself an enriching experience for me.
