Mystory@Shikha Shekhawat: How my college education impacted my career

Go through how Shikha Shekhawat's experience of pursuing MBA from Maharshi Dayanand University shaped her professional life.

Mystory@Shikha Shekhawat

My college is not among the premium B-Schools of India but has its own identity and dignity in terms of attaining first position among all the colleges of its affiliated Maharshi Dayanand University.

I was not studious but always attended all my lectures sincerely and managed to attain 76% as aggregate. I was also recognised as ‘Miss Fresher’ of my batch. I did not waste my time in all the frenzy of activities but was able to pull through most of the programme.

I started my career with Aditya Birla Group and am presently working with Ashok Leyland. While the college authorities were doing their best, I feel we could have gained more from having the college more centrally located. I had chosen Human Resource and Finance specialisation but HR being my favourite area started my career as an HR executive. I became an Assistant Manager HR within five years of work experience.

My college familiarised me with concepts of sincerity and fun at work and I continue to follow this even today.
