NMAT 2020 Application Process Begins; Apply by November 20 Without Late Fee

The application process for NMAT 2020 has commenced from September 14. Know the details about the process and other aspects of the exam.

NMAT 2020 Application Process Begins from September 13

The application procedure for NMAT 2020 exam has started from today, i.e. September 14. The procedure is completely online and MBA aspirants aiming to appear for NMAT 2020 can apply till November 20, without late fee. The exam will commence from November 4. The exam is conducted over a three-month window in computer-based mode (CBT) by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). On the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, candidates have to option to take the exam at a Test Center with social distancing norms or taking the Online Proctored Exam from home.

Before filling up the application form, candidates must note the NMAT 2020 eligibility criteria and ensure that they fulfil the same, otherwise, their application or candidature will be disqualified.

NMAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute with minimum 50 per cent aggregate

  • Candidates who are awaiting results or are in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for NMAT 2020. Admission is granted on a provisional basis until graduation mark sheet and certificate of the qualifying examination are submitted

NMAT 2020 Application Procedure

Before filling the application form, applicants will have to create an account by entering their name, email id, mobile number, preferred country for taking the exam and captcha.

The NMAT 2020 application form is divided into multiple segments, which are as follows:

  • Personal Information

  • Contact Information

  • Education/Work Experience

  • School Preference

  • Additional Information

Candidates have to also upload their photograph of not more than 1 MB resolution in JPEG/JPG/PNG formats.

Upon filling each section, candidates have to click on ‘Next’ or ‘Save & Exit’ in case they do not want to complete the procedure at one go. The final step is to pay the application fee by using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, and Mobile Wallets. The application fee is Rs 2,000 (plus GST). The late application fee is Rs 2,500.

After completing the NMAT application procedure, candidates can download the NMAT admit card from the dashboard.

Apart from the original take, candidates are allowed two retake opportunities to improve their scores. Best of the three scores will be considered by the NMAT accepting B-schools. The exam will be held in 66 exam centres across 52 cities in India and four international centres in Kathmandu, Nepal; Thimpu, Bhutan; Dhaka, Bangladesh and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Apart from over 100 B-schools in India, NMAT 2020 scores will be accepted by B-schools in Philippines, South Africa and Nigeria as well.
