AP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) is inviting registrations for the Andhra Pradesh NEET UG counselling 2026 on the official website- drntr.uhsap.in. Eligible candidates who are included in the AP NEET 2026 List of qualified candidates are eligible to take registrations and submit their applications online. The AP NEET Counselling registration 2026 link is active till August 12, 2026, up to 9.00 pm. Moreover, candidates can register from August 13 to 14, 2026, with a late fee of INR 20,000. The direct AP NEET registration 2026 link is shared on this page. 

NTRUHS has also released the AP NEET Counselling notification 2026 detailing about the complete admission process. Candidates must read the prospectus carefully before applying for the counselling. The AP NEET Counselling Dates 2026 will be announced soon for Round 1.

Earlier, AP NEET 2026 rank-wise list of qualified candidates was released on July 31, 2026, containing the list of 33,220 candidates who are eligible for state counselling. The AP NEET merit list 2026 will be released after the registration process of the Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling 2026.

AP NEET Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the required AP NEET eligibility criteria mentioned below before registering or applying for the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling 2026:

  • Candidates must have qualified the NEET 2026
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India. PIO/OCI candidates can also apply for AP NEET 2026 counselling.
  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board/institute. Also, the core subjects in this qualifying examination should be Biology, Chemistry, English and Physics.
  • Candidates must be of minimum 17 years of age as of the last day of the year. 

Local and Non-local candidates

Those who fall under the local candidates' category can apply for the 15 per cent unreserved seats and the 85 per cent reserved seats. In contrast, those under the non-local category can apply for the 15 per cent unreserved seats only.

  • For admission to the Andhra University: Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam

Local Category:

Candidates applying for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling 2026 as local candidates must meet the following criteria concerning the local area.

1. Applicants must have studied for a period of four years consecutively in that area: the last year being the year of the qualifying examination.

2. Applicants must have resided in that area for four consecutive years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the qualifying examination.

3. Applicants must have resided in that area for four consecutive years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the qualifying examination.

4. Applicants possess a Local status certificate issued by MRO.

Q:   Who conducts the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?
A: 

The Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling is conducted by Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijaywada. This institute is the counselling authority for admission to 85 per cent State Quota seats for the MBBS and BDS courses. NTA will send the list of qualifying candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh, based on which YSRUHS will release the State Merit List for Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process is being conducted in online mode, except for the institute reporting and document verification round.

The counselling authority released the AP NEET merit list 2026 on July 31, 2026. The list includes details of candidates who qualified the NEET 2026 exam and can now participate in AP NEET UG Counselling. The final merit list for the counselling of AP NEET 2026 will be released. after completing the verification process. The state merit list includes the names of only those candidates whose documents were verified successfully. This merit list will be used for seat allotment in AP NEET counselling 2026.

The Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling, or the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process, is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS courses for the 85 per cent State Quota seats. AP NEET Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment Result

NTRUHS will release the seat allotment list of the selected candidates separately for each round. The seats will be allotted based on the choices filled by the candidates and the ranks obtained by them in the state merit list. Selected candidates have to report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission. The vacant seats will be carried forward to the next round.

After completing the registration, candidates need to take a printout of the final version and paste a recent passport-sized photograph in the space provided. The hard copy of the AP NEET counselling 2026 application form must be carried along with all the other documents to the verification centre. Q:   What is the deadline for reporting to the allotted college for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?
A: 

In general, the institute reporting process for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling is conducted for three to four days for each round. Candidates will have to check the important dates carefully and report to the institutes within the deadline. In certain cases, the last date of reporting to the institutes is extended. 

Q:   What is the registration fee for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?
A: 

The registration fee for Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling is INR 2,950 for General/OBC candidates and INR 2,360 for SC/ST candidates. The late registration fee amount for General/OBC/BC candidates is INR 22,950 and INR 22,360 for the reserved category candidates. Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling fee has to be paid online using Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. The registration fee amount has remained the same as last year.

Q:   Is there a provision for upgradation of seats after each round of Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling?
A: 

Yes, after the declaration of the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Based on that, the counselling authorities will upgrade the seats depending on the choices entered by candidates, in case the desired seat is vacant after the institute reporting process is concluded. However, candidates must note that in case they accept a seat by reporting to the allotted institute, they will not be eligible to participate in the next round of Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling. 

Q:   Can I participate in Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling if I do not qualify for NEET?
A: 

Qualifying for NEET is the primary eligibility criterion for participating in the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling. In case a candidate does not secure the qualifying marks for NEET, as stated by NTA, then he or she will not be eligible to participate in the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process. NTA will send the list of qualifying candidates to the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling authorities, based on which the merit list will be released. Candidates should also note that apart from NEET, no other entrance exam scores will be accepted for the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process.  

Q:   Can I fill the application form for Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling offline?
A: 

Candidates cannot fill the Andhra Pradesh NEET application form offline. Only online registrations are invited for AP NEET counselling. Candidates need to visit drntr.uhsap.in website to register for the counselling process.
