
The Andhra Pradesh NEET 2025 counselling Round 1 seat allotment result for MBBS courses was released by Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS). As many as 3,751 candidates have been allotted MBBS seats. These candidates have been allotted seats under the Competent Quota (CQ). The institute reporting process was conducted till August 29, 2025, 4 PM. Candidates were advised to bring the original documents, along with a set of self-attested copies.

Candidates can opt for free exit from the allotted and reported seat by September 21, 2025. In order to vacate the seat, students have to submit their request to the college principal. After this, candidates will not be eligible for participating in the further rounds of counselling. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has added 180 new seats in the MBBS programme. As per the notification, a total of 30 seats in Government Medical College Ongole, 50 medical seats in Santhiram Medical College Nandyala and 100 new seats in Parameshwaramangalam.
NTRUHS has also released the list of Meritorious Reserved Category (MRC) Candidates who are allotted a seat in the Open Category and later slid to a better college (as per option). This list consists of 835 candidates.

AP NEET counselling process 2025 began on July 23, 2025, with the registration process. The last date of registration without late fee was July 29, 2025, 9 PM. The late registration window is from July 30 to August 2, 2025. Candidates belonging to the Management Quota or NRI category had to register between July 28 and August 2, 2025. After that, the provisional merit list was released. Based on the seat matrix, candidates can fill and lock seat choices, and seats will be allotted as per that.

AP NEET Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria
AP NEET counselling requires a different sort of eligibility. Candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the required eligibility criteria mentioned below before registering or applying for the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling 2025:
- Candidates must have qualified for NEET 2025
- The candidate must be a citizen of India. PIO/OCI candidates can also apply for AP NEET 2025 counselling.
- The candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board/institute. Also, the core subjects in this qualifying examination should be Biology, Chemistry, English and Physics.
- Candidates must be of minimum 17 years of age as of the last day of the year.
Local and Non-local candidates
Those who fall under the local candidates' category can apply for the 15 per cent unreserved seats and the 85 per cent reserved seats. In contrast, those under the non-local category can apply for the 15 per cent unreserved seats only.

Candidates applying for Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling 2025 as local candidates must meet the following criteria concerning the local area.
1. Applicants must have studied for a period of four years consecutively in that area: the last year being the year of the qualifying examination.
2. Applicants must have resided in that area for four consecutive years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the qualifying examination.

Qualifying for NEET is the primary eligibility criterion for participating in the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling. In case a candidate does not secure the qualifying marks for NEET, as stated by NTA, then he or she will not be eligible to participate in the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process. NTA will send the list of qualifying candidates to the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling authorities, based on which the merit list will be released. Candidates should also note that apart from NEET, no other entrance exam scores will be accepted for the Andhra Pradesh NEET counselling process.
As per the Andhra Pradesh NEET 2025 counselling reservation criteria, the reservation percentage is 15 per cent and six per cent for the SC and ST categories respectively. The Backward Classes are segragated into five sub-categories and the reservation percentage ranges from one per cent to seven per cent. Apart from these categories, there are reservations for Army, NCC, PWD, Police Martyr's Children, female candidates and EWS. The category-wise reservation structure is given in the table below.

Andhra Pradesh NEET Counselling 2025 Process
To participate in the counselling of AP NEET 2025, eligible candidates have to register on the official website of YSRUHS. The counselling application forms have to be filled out and submitted in online mode only. The AP NEET counselling 2025 application forms can be filled by using Internet Explorer (version 11), Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox (latest version). Candidates must also keep their mobile phones handy while filling the application (for OTP).
There will be about four to five stages in the AP NEET Counselling 2025, which will include registration, release of merit list and seat matrix, choice filling and locking, seat allotment result declaration and institute reporting. Andhra Pradesh NEET 2025 Counselling is being conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes for the academic year 2025-26, 85 per cent State Quota seats. There will be approximately five to six rounds till all seats are filled.

Verification of the Documents
After completing the application form, candidates had to print the final version and paste a recent passport-sized photograph in the space provided.
The hard copy of the AP NEET counselling 2025 application form must be carried along with all the other documents to the verification centre. Candidates should also carry at least three attested copies of their documents for verification.
State Merit List
YSRUHS will release the final merit list for the counselling of AP NEET 2025 after completing the verification process. The state merit list includes the names of only those candidates whose documents were verified successfully. This merit list will be used for seat allotment in AP NEET counselling 2025.
Web Counselling/Choice Filling
Web counselling or choice filling is how a candidate chooses their desired course/college. To register the choices online, candidates have to log in to their registered account on the official website of YSRUHS. They have to choose their desired course/college from the list provided or the seat matrix. According to NTRUHS, male candidates can enter 34 and female candidates can enter 35 seat choices.
Seat Allotment List
NTRUHS will release the seat allotment list of the selected candidates separately for each round. The seats will be allotted based on the choices filled by the candidates and the ranks obtained by them in the state merit list. Selected candidates have to report to the allotted institute to confirm their admission. The vacant seats will be carried forward to the next round.
