Overview

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board released the JEPBN 2026 registrations on wbjeeb.in on April 1. The candidates were required to register and generate the application number for login. The candidates should note that the JEPBN applications were available only after registration. The last date to apply for the exam was April 18. The candidates will be allowed to make corrections to the application till April 21. The Board released the JEPBN 2026 dates with the information bulletin.

The Board will release the admit card for the candidates on May 27 and the JEPBN exam 2026 will be conducted on June 7 across the state. It will coincide with the JEMScN 2026 exam. The candidates cannot appear in both the exams. After the exam, the Board will release the provisional answer key and ask the candidates to send the objections against the incorrect answers. Based on the final answer key, the board will calculate the marks of the candidates and release the result. The qualified candidates will be called for Counselling. JEPBN 2026 Applications Started - Get Direct Link to Apply

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) released the registration link on its portal - wbjeeb.in. The last date to apply for the exam was April 18. The JEPBN 2026 application process was online only. The JEPBN 2026 application correction window was available till April 21.

The candidates were required to fill their personal and contact details in the registration form. Post this, a code was generated, which helped in creating further login credentials. Candidates needed to create their user ID and password using these details. 

The JEPBN 2026 application fee were announced in the notification for the current academic year. However, the application fee was INR 3,000, which was to be paid online through credit/debit card, and net banking.

JEPBN 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The JENPB 2026 eligibility criteria are given below:

  • Candidates must have passed the Class 12 exam from a recognised Board and GNM course and obtained the registration / RNRM certificate from any State Nursing Council of any state of India.

  • The upper age limit for those employed by the West Bengal State Govt. is 53 years (as of the last date of application). There is no upper age limit for candidates who are ESI/Central Government employees.

  • Candidates who are presently employed by the West Bengal State Govt. should have at least 3 years qualifying uninterrupted/regularized experience in Govt. service by the last date of application.

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India

JEPBN 2026 Admit Card

The JEPBN 2026 admit card will be released on May 27. Only registered candidates will be able to download the JEPBN 2026 admit card after login The JEPBN admit card is a compulsory document that must be carried to the examination centre. The JEPBN 2026 admit card/hall ticket carries information of candidates’ personal details, exam date and time, exam centre address, and exam day guidelines.

How to Download JEPBN Admit Card 2026?

Students can download their hall ticket of JEPBN 2026 in the following manner:

  • Go to wbjeeb.in
  • First choose the desired exam for which the admit card needs to be downloaded
  • Enter the lapplication number, password, and security pin
  • The JEPBN 2026 hall ticket will appear on the screen

Applicants will be required to carry one photo identity card with the admit card.

JEPBN 2026 Exam Pattern

The JEPBN 2026 exam pattern was notified in the information bulletin. The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. It will be conducted in the morning session from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The total number of questions will be 100. The questions were in MCQ format wherein each question carried four answer options. Candidates had to select the correct option by shading the circle next to the correct answer with an HB pencil. The section-wise break up of questions is given in the table below:

JEPBN Exam Marking Scheme

  • Each correct answer will fetch one mark

  • Each incorrect answer will lead to a deduction of 0.25 marks (¼ marks)

  • Marking more than one answer option, even if one of them is correct, will be considered as a wrong answer and would lead to a negative marking.

  • No answer will be deducted for non-attempt of questions.

JEPBN 2026 Result

The WBJEEB will release the JEPBN 2026 result in July. The Board will release a common merit list and the category-wise cutoff in the public domain.

The candidates will be able to check their result in the following manner.

  • Login with the application number and password
  • Check the JEPBN rank card
  • Download and save it for the future reference

JEPBN 2026 Cutoff

WBJEEB will release the JEPBN cutoff ranks and scores at the time of the results. Based on the JEPBN cutoff, candidates’ qualification status will be determined. The cutoff for JEPBN will depend on factors such as the number of test-takers, the number of seats, and the level of difficulty of the exam, to name a few.

JEPBN 2026 Answer Keys

JEPBN answer keys will be released by the exam conducting body 2-3 days after the exam concludes. Candidates will be able to check and calculate their estimated scores. In case they find any discrepancy, they will be allowed to submit the objections by paying a nominal fee per question as decided by the board. The Board will review and publish the final and frozen answer keys. The last date to submit the objections will be notified on the official website. The final answer key will be released along with the results on the official website.

JEPBN 2026 Test Centres

The JEPBN exam will be conducted in one city i.e. Salt Lake City, Kolkata. The JEPBN exam centre will be notified to candidates on their admit card. After the admit card is issued, no request for a change in the test centre will be entertained. Candidates will have to reach the stipulated test centre for the JEPBN 2026 exam at least an hour before the scheduled exam time. Exit from the examination hall will only be allowed once the exam duration is over.

JEPBN 2026 Counselling Process

The JEPBN 2026 counselling process will begin in July/August 2026, for Post Basic BSc nursing programme admission seekers. Candidates who clear the State Common Entrance Examination, or JEPBN 2026, and secure a valid rank in the BSc nursing entrance exam can apply for the counselling process. WBJEEB will be conducting centralized online counselling/e-counselling in two rounds. Find out the rules of JEPBN 2026 counselling here: 

  • JEPBN 2026 registration will be allowed once at the beginning of the 1st round
  • The JEPBN 2026 registration fee for counselling will be INR 500.
  • No new details will be provided at the time of counselling. During registration, candidates’ information will be fetched from the information given by the candidates during their application for the examination.
  • Candidates will have to provide Bank account details (in case of any refund), address, etc.
  • After selecting institutes/courses, the candidate will have to arrange his/her choices in ordebr of his/her priority. If a candidate does not give any choice, obviously he/she will not be given any allotment.
  • Candidate must lock his/her choices within the pre-announced date. 
  • If a candidate fails/forgets to lock his/her choices within the pre-announced deadline, his/her last saved choices will be considered final and will be locked automatically after the scheduled date and time. 
  • If a candidate fails/forgets to ‘save’ his/her choices within the pre-announced deadline, his/her unsaved choices will disappear.
  • Allotment of the 1st round will be declared on a pre-scheduled date.
  • The allotment status will show the institute and course in which he/she has been allotted a seat.
  • The candidate must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 1000/- to download the seat allotment letter. If the candidate fails to pay the seat acceptance fee, the current allotment will be cancelled. The candidate will not be considered for seat allotment in any future round.

After downloading the seat allotment letter, the candidate must report to the allotted institute with the allotment letter and all other documents for verification.
