Overview

AIIMS Nursing Cutoff 2026: The All India Institute of Medical Science will release the category-wise cutoff after the declaration of result. The candidates will be required to score equal to or better than their category cutoff to get admission to the course. The AIIMS Nursing 2026 exam will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Test(CBT). The exam cutoff is the minimum marks required to clear the exam (in a specific category). 

The AIIMS also mention the minimum qualifying marks in the official information bulletin. The candidates will be require to score above then the minimum qualifying marks to become eligible for the selection in the AIIMS Nursing 2026 result.

Cutoff scores are the benchmark which decides elligibility of students for counselling process. Only those who score minimum cutoff are declared qualified and elligible for AIIMS nursing counselling. AIIMS Nursing 2025 result for the BSc (Hons) programme was released on June 6, 2025 online.

Q:   How will AIIMS shortlist the candidates scoring same marks in nursing exam?
A: 

AIIMS has established a tie-breaker criterion to assess the performance of candidates scoring the same marks in the AIIMS nursing exam. Some of the criteria are:

  • The candidates having higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance will be given priority if the tie persists
  • The candidate who has secured higher marks in Physics in the entrance will be given priority if the tie still exists
  • At last, priority will be given to the candidate who is senior in age

Candidates getting equal marks in both stages combined will result in a tie. Candidates will then be shortlisted or ranked using the tie-breaker. Below are the tie-breaker criteria:

  • In the case of Para-Medical courses, a candidate who has scored higher marks in the Biology or Mathematics exam will be given a higher rank
  • The candidates having higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance will be given priority if the tie persists
  • The candidate who has secured higher marks in Physics in the entrance will be given priority if the tie still exists
  • At last, priority will be given to the candidate who is senior in age

IIMS MSc Nursing 2025 test centres are decided by the exam conducting body, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The list of AIIMS MSc. Nursing test centres are released by the AIIMS Delhi at the official website.

The BSc Nursing 2026 exam Admit Card will be released on June 19 (tentatively) and it will be conducted on June 27, 2026.
