AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 Preparation: The All India Institute of Medical Science conduct the BSc Nursing exam online as a Computer-Based Test(CBT). The candidates should start the preparation because a minimum of three to four months preparation will be required to crack the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 exam. The candidates should note that to start the preparation, they need to internalise the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2026 syllabus fully. The exam conducting body do not attach any weightage to the syllabus topics and they are suggested to prepare all the topics.

Q:   How many sections are there in AIIMS BSc nursing exam?

There are four sections in AIIMS BSc nursing exam named Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. There will be 70 questions overall for which candidates will be provided 120 minutes to solve the paper. It will be an online exam carrying objective-type questions. 

Q:   What is AIIMS BSc nursing exam marking scheme?
A: 

AIIMS nursing is an online exam which is conducted in computer-based mode. The BSc nursing entrance exam will be conducted carrying 100 wuestions of 100 marks (i.e. 1 mark for each question). Each section namely Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, will be of 30 marks each except GK section which will be of 10 marks. There will be a negative marking of -1/3 marks for choosing incorrect option.

Reserve Ample Time for Preparation

Dedicate at least 8 to 10 Hours of the day to nursing exam preparation. Set a timetable that is more suitable for you to study. If you have a habit of waking up early, then get up and make a routine of studying in the morning. If you are a Night Person, then start to read after 10 pm. That’s a good time to grasp knowledge with focus.

Time Management and Prioritization

Learn complete details about the AIIMS BSc nursing exam syllabus. Sort the topics based on the difficulty level as per your understanding. Start preparation with the topics that seem difficult and carry more weightage. Reserve an extra amount of time for them.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, conducts AIIMS BSc (Hons) nursing, BSc (Post-Basic) nursing, and BSc (Paramedical) entrance exams annually to grant admission to all AIIMS campuses offering nursing courses. The entrance exam is generally conducted in the month of May every year. The conducting body uses a two-stage method for registration to the BSc nursing programme. The first is through the PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) system, a new AIIMS method. The second is through basic registration, followed by the Generation of Code and Final Registration.

AIIMS Nursing entrance exam is generally of 'Moderate' difficulty level. AIIMS BSc (h) Nursing exam was conducted on June 1, 2025 and BSc (post basic) exam on June 21, 2025 in online mode. AIIMS Nursing exam is based on syllabus of class 12 and Class 11. difficulty level of questions ranges from easy to moderate. As per student review, mostly direct questions are provided in exam. There are 20% to 30% application based question which are time consuming and analytical in nature. 

Q:   Will AIIMS nursing have sectional time limit?
A: 

No, being an online exam (computer-based exam), AIIMS nursing does not carry any sectional time limit. There will be four sections in the exam, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge in the exam. Candidates can switch between the sections to attempt the questions. It is not mandatory to complete one section before attemting another one.

IIMS MSc Nursing 2025 test centres are decided by the exam conducting body, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The list of AIIMS MSc. Nursing test centres are released by the AIIMS Delhi at the official website.

The BSc Nursing 2026 exam Admit Card will be released on June 19 (tentatively) and it will be conducted on June 27, 2026.

The last date to apply online for the AIIMS Nursing Exam 2026 will be April 24. The status of the application acceptance or rejection will be released on April 29 and the form correction facility will be provided for the rejected forms from till May 3.
