AIIMS Nursing 2024 syllabus will be defined by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The AIIMS BSc nursing exam and BSc (Post-basic) exam dates were announced by AIIMS Delhi. This year AIIMS BSc Nursing (Hons.) and BSc (Post Basic) entrance exams will be conducted on June 8 & 9, 2024, and July 6, 2024, respectively

Candidates preparing to appear for the BSc Nursing entrance exam should have completed class 12 from any recognized board with physics, chemistry, and biology and should have a general sense of general knowledge relating to history, current affairs, general policy & scientific research. The AIIMS BSc Nursing basic registration process and final registration started on March 5 and March 12 respectively.

Q:   Who prepares the AIIMS BSc nursing syllabus?

A:

The AIIMS BSc nursing syllabus is decided by AIIMS, Delhi, i.e. the exam conducting body of AIIMS BSc nursing programme.

 

Q:   What is the syllabus of the entrance exam of AIIMS for B.Sc. Honours nursing?

A:
Knowledge of class 12 Physics Chemistry and Biology and should have a general sense of general knowledge relating to history, Current Affairs general policy & scientific research. The exam is of 2 hours duration and carry 100 marks ( CBT based). One should study the import chapters of class 11th and 12th PCB to prepare for the subject specific part and some Gk.
 

Q:   Is there any entrance exam for admission in B.Sc nursing in AIIMS?

A:

All India Institute of Medical Science conducts AIIMS nursing admission test. It is conducted on a national basis. Through this entrance test, admission are offered in BSc and MSc nursing courses. It is conducted once every year in online mode. 

 

Q:   Who conducts AIIMS Nursing entrance exams for Nursing Courses?

A:

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts nursing exam for admission in nursing programmes. AIIMS Delhi conducts the entrance exam for nursing courses named B.Sc (Hons. ), B.Sc (Post-Basic) nursing and B.Sc (Paramedical) beyond the MBBS exam. A two-stage method is used to admit students to B.Sc nursing programmes. The first is through the PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) system, a new AIIMS method. The second is through basic registration, followed by the Generation of Code and Final Registration.

Q:   What should I prepare for AIIMS BSc nursing General Knowledge section?

A:

In General Knowledge section, questions from topics such as General policy & scientific research, Current Affairs, History, Geography, and Culture are asked in the exam. In additon to the GK section in which 10 questions will be asked, candidates are advised to prepare Physics, chemistry, biology/mathematics section that will carry 30 questions each. 

 

Q:   How many sections are there in AIIMS BSc nursing exam?

A:

There are four sections in AIIMS BSc nursing exam named Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and General Knowledge. There will be 70 questions overall for which candidates will be provided 120 minutes to solve the paper. It will be an online exam carrying objective-type questions.

Q:   Has the AIIMS Nursing 2024 exam pattern changed?

A:

there is no official intimation about the change in AIIMS Nursing 2024 exam pattern yet. Until last year, there was no change in the exam pattern. AIIMS New Delhi conducts the national level entrance exam to facilitate admission into the BSc Nursing and Post Basic BSc Nursing, the eligibility criteria and the pattern of both the exam will be different.

 

Q:   What will be the duration of the AIIMS Nursing 2024 exam? Will extra time be granted?

A:

AIIMS Nursing 2023 exam for the BSc Nursing programme will be a 120-minute long exam and the Post Basic Nursing exam will be 90 minutes long. No extra time will be given to the candidates under any circumstances. Candidates will only be able to leave the examination hall once the exam time is over. It is important to reach the test centre 30 minutes before the reporting time.

AIIMS nursing 2024 BSc (Post basic) exam candidates have to follow a two-stage selection process. The two stages are:

Stage 1: Written examination and Stage 2: Personal Interview/Assessment

Stage 2: Personal Interview/Assessment Scheme

Candidates who will be able to make it to the merit list based on the written exam will be called for the personal interview/assessment round. The second stage will have a weightage of 30 marks. The final merit list will decide the fate of the candidate based on their performance in both stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria

  • Past academic record in the Higher Secondary or 12 or equivalent examination
  • Past academic record in the Nursing examination
  • Performance as a Staff Nurse

In general, Nursing entrance exams are usually set around the Physics, Chemistry and Biology you have studied in class 12th along with general knowledge. No, AIIMS Delhi will not provide travelling allowance to the test-takers appearing for AIIMS BSc nursing exam. Such costs are to be borne by the candidate only. No, once you choose the AIIMS Nursing test center, the option is locked and no further change in the test center will be entertained by the exam conducting body.
