JEMScN 2026: Registration (Started), Exam Date (June 7), Syllabus, Pattern, Result

The JEMScN applications started as per the date notified by the Board. The Board released registration and application link on its portal. The Board provided 18 days to the candidates to fill the online application form. The JEMScN 2026 application correction was available till April 21. The candidates will be allowed to modify the details other than the name, father's names, mother's name, date of birth and domicile.

JEMScN 2026 Application Fee

The candidates should note that the Board is yet to release the official information bulletin. The JEMScN 2026 application fee will be notified in the bulletin only. The candidates should note that last year the application fee for the open category was INR 3000.

The PwD candidates will be eligible for 40% concession in the application which bring it down to INR 1800.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conduct the Joint Entrance for Mater of Science Nursing (JEMScN) 2026 exam once in a year to take admissions in the MSc Nursing program across the state. The candidates seeking admission in the MSc Nursing course in the state (in the state run and private college/intitutes) will be required to appear in JEMScN 2026 exam. The JEMScN 2026 exam is the gateway to seeking admission to the postgraduate course MSc in Nursing. Candidates across India can apply for admission to the JEMScN exam. 

JEMScN 2026 Eligibility Criteria

1. The Applicant must be a citizen of India. 
2. Both Male and Female candidates can apply
3. The candidate must pass any of the following courses from Institutes recognized by Indian Nursing Council namely: BSc - Nursing, BSc (Hons.) – Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, or Post Basic BSc -Nursing through distance education. 
4. Candidate must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in the above mentioned courses 
5. The applicant must have obtained registration/RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India. 
6. The applicant must not be more than 53 years 
7. Minimum 3 years’ working experience after publication of result of the qualifying examinations 

The WBJEEB conduct the JEMScN exam every year across the state. The candidates can refer to the table given below for important highlights for JEMScN exam 2026:

The WBJEEB will release the JEMScN 2026 admit card only ten days before the exam. The Board will conducted the exam on June 7 and the hall ticket will be released on May 27. The candidates should note that the admit cards will be available online only. Candidates will be able to download their admit card by providing their ‘Application Number’ and ‘Date of Birth' details.

How to download JEMScN Admit Card 2026?

1. Go to wbjeeb.nic.in
2. Click on the admit card link available on the page
3. Enter application number & date of birth, followed by the security code
4. Download the JEMScN admit card and save it for future use.

The hall ticket is a mandatory document required at the JEMScN exam center as proof of identity for the candidate. The hall ticket inform the roll number, exam date, timings, and address of the centre.

JEMScN syllabus 2026 comprises important topics based on the course that candidates have studied in BSc Nursing. There are two parts of the JEMScN entrance exam.

1. JEMScN Part A comprises questions from topics such as Anatomy, Microbiology, Administration, Pharmacology, Education, Pathology, etc. This section has 40 questions.
2. In the second part of the JEMScN exam, questions from areas such as Medical-Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Foundation of Nursing, and Obstetrical Nursing can be seen in the exam. In Part B, 60 questions are given to solve the paper. 

JEMScN exam pattern 2026 was released by the exam conducting body i.e. WBJEEB. The exam duration will be 90 minutes. It is an offline exam where candidates get OMR sheets to fill in the choices.

Candidates are required to carry blue/black ball pens to fill in the choices. Once filled, the response cannot be changed in the JEMScN answer sheet. As per the marking scheme, there were 100 questions of one mark each in the exam.

Each question carries four options (MCQs). Each correct response invites +1 mark, and each incorrect option leads to a deduction of a -1/4 mark in the exam. 

JEMScN 2026 will have two parts. In part A, 40 questions will be provided to test the aptitude of the aspirants. In Part B, there will be 60 questions. All the questions will be asked in the English language. 

The WBJEEB will release the JEMScN result 2026 in the form of merit list. The result will be released within a month from the exam date. This year, the Board will release the result in July/August 2026. The candidates who clear the exam will be called for Counselling process.

Earlier, the JEMScN result was declared by WBJEEB on its official website on November 12, 2025. Candidates are suggested to save a copy of the JEMScN result in a hard copy for reference purposes during the JEMScN counselling process to be held by the respective colleges.
