The Higher Education Department of the Government of Odisha has announced the launch of a free UPSC Civil Services Coaching Scheme for the 2025–26 session, aimed at providing comprehensive training to 500 eligible domiciled candidates from the state.

This initiative includes both residential and non-residential coaching options, covering preparation for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary and Main Examinations, including General Studies and Optional subjects. The duration of the coaching program will be 11 months.

As per the official notification, the scheme will accommodate 200 students in residential mode and 300 in non-residential mode. The coaching will be provided entirely free of cost, and candidates will also receive study materials. The application process has been made available through the SAMS Odisha portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in). Interested candidates can submit the Common Application Form (CAF) online from June 3, 2025, onwards. The last date to apply is June 12, 2025, by 11:45 PM.

Applicants must be domiciled in Odisha and should meet the eligibility conditions laid out in the scheme guidelines. Candidates who have already applied under the Government of Odisha’s Free UPSC Civil Services Residential Coaching Scheme as per the previous advertisement dated April 14, 2025, do not need to submit a fresh application. However, they are now allowed to select their preferred mode of coaching—residential or non-residential.

The entrance examination for selection into the coaching programme will be conducted on July 6, 2025. Admit cards for the same will be available on the State Selection Board (SSB) website from July 1, 2025, onwards. The list of applicants will be forwarded by OCAC (Odisha Computer Application Centre) to SSB for processing by June 15, 2025.

This initiative aims to increase the representation of Odisha’s youth in the prestigious civil services by offering them structured and high-quality coaching support. The scheme also includes provisions for scholarships and support for candidates from underprivileged backgrounds, as well as a reservation of 33% seats for women and special quotas for PwD candidates.

For further information and detailed guidelines, students can visit www.dhe.odisha.gov.in or www.samsodisha.gov.in. Any queries related to the scheme may be directed to the helpdesk at 0674-2954600 or by email at civilservicesscheme2025@gmail.com.
