SSC GD notification 2026 is available now. The Staff Selection Commission issued the SSC GD Constable notification as a PDF download file at ssc.gov.in.

The Staff Selection Commission has postponed the SSC GD exam 2026. It was slated to start on February 23 but was postponed. The Commission will release new dates soon on its website - ssc.gov.in.

SSC GD admit card is released by SSC four days before the exam. To download the call letter, candidates need to enter the required credentials. The hard copy of the same is not sent to candidates by post. The admit card carries the details related to the exam.

The SSC GD apply online 2026 link was released online. The Commission issued the notification and application form for the SSC GD 2026 session at ssc.gov.in. Candidates need to fill out the form in order to appear for the exam.

Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age in order to be eligible for SSC GD exam. The upper SSC GD age limit is 23 years. However, the Commission provides a relaxation in the upper age limit for all the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, ExS and others. The SSC GD merit list contains the following details:

• Rank of candidates based on their merit in the online CBE exam
• Names of shortlisted candidates
• Roll numbers of shortlisted candidates

Yes, there is physical test in the SSC GD Constable exam. Candidates who clear the SSC GD exam (CBE) are called to appear for the physical test which is conducted by the CRPF. The SSC GD physical test comprises following process:

• Candidates need to fulfill SSC GD height/ weight requirement and undergo measurement of height, weight and chest as mentioned in the official notification
• Candidates need to perform a race within the given SSC GD running time limits.

There are no such repetitive questions in the SSC GD Constable exam. However, the topics and types are generally the same almost every year. The Commission makes changes in the difficulty level of the same topics asked in the exam. Moreover, the Commission may give more weight to one topic this year and another topic next year. For example, there may be more questions on the number system in 2025, and in 2026, the Mathematics section may include more questions on Algebra. So, Candidates need to prepare all the topics and sections carefully.
