Q:   What is IBPS PO shift timing?

A:

IBPS PO prelims exam is conducted in four shifts -9 am to 10 am, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, 2 pm to 3 pm, and 4 pm to 5 pm. IBPS PO Mains exam is conducted in two shifts- 9 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm. The shift timings of the prelims and Mains exams are mentioned on the admit card. Q:   How many banks participate in the recruitment process of IBPS Clerk?

A:

A total of 11 public sector banks participate in the recruitment process of IBPS Clerk. IBPS Clerk admit card 2023 for the prelims exam was released on August 16, 2023. The mains admit card was released on September 26, 2023. To download the admit card, candidates are required to enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. IBPS PO 2023 prelims admit card was released on September 14, 2023 by IBPS. The admit card was released for all the candidates who have registered for the exam. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. IBPS PO prelims exam pattern consists of three sections. The paper will have 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. IBPS mains admit card is released for the qualified candidates of the prelims exam. The mains exam comprises subjects such as General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates qualifying for the mains exam are called for an interview.

Q:   When will IBPS PO 2023 Mains admit card be released?

A:

IBPS PO 2023 Mains admit card was released on October 25, 2023. The Mains admit card is released for the qualified candidates of the prelims exam. Candidates who qualify the prelims exam can download their admit cards by logging with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. Candidates need to download their admit cards online as the hard copy of it is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates need to carry the authenticated prelims admit card and photo identity proof along with the Mains admit card to the exam centre. Candidates without the prelims admit card is not allowed to appear for the exam. The Mains exam consists of both objective and descriptive type tests. The objective test is divided into four sections-Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The descriptive section carries questions from English Language (Letter Writing and Essay). The duration of the test is 3 hours 30 minutes. There is also a sectional time limit in the Mains exam. The total marks allotted to the test are 225. 

 

Q:   Do I need to carry IBPS Clerk prelims admit card for the Mains exam?

A:
Candidates should keep the authenticated IBPS Clerk prelims admit card and the photo-identity safely as they need to carry it while appearing for the Mains exam. The prelims admit card and the photo-identity proof is not collected at the exam centre during exam. Candidates who does not carry the prelims admit card are not allowed to appear for the Mains exam.
 

Q:   My IBPS Clerk admit card is not issued. What should I do?

A:
If your IBPS Clerk admit card is not issued, you need to contact the examination authority. For evidence, provide your registration number and copy of the fee transaction receipt. If the admit card is lost then the examination authority does not issue duplicate IBPS Clerk admit card. Hence, it is the responsibility of candidates to keep the admit card safely till the completion of the exam.

How Can I Download IBPS 2024 Admit Card?

The steps to download the admit card for the IBPS exam are given below. The candidates can download the admit card from the IBPS official website by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of IBPS

  • Enter the registration number or roll number and date of birth or password
  • IBPS admit card appears on the screen
  • Download the admit card and take its printout

Documents Required at IBPS Centre

The IBPS admit card is a mandatory document that needs to be carried at the IBPS exam centre on the day of the exam. No candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the exam centres. The candidates need to carry other documents along with the IBPS admit card to the exam centre. The list of the documents has been given below for the candidates:

  • Two passport size photograph 
  • Valid photo Identity proof

Photo-Identity Required for Verification

Candidates need to carry the following photo-identity proofs along with IBPS admit card for verification purposes.

IBPS interview admit card is released for the qualified candidates of the mains exam. The interview is held for 100 marks.

IBPS Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates can check below the exam day guidelines for IBPS exam:

  • Candidates need to carry the printed copy of the admit card along with one photo-identity proof
  • The admit card for the prelims exam is not collected at the exam centre. Candidates need to bring the prelims admit card and authenticated photo identity proof along with the mains admit card while appearing for the mains exam
  • Candidates should report at least 15 minutes before the reporting time indicated on the admit card
  • Rough sheets are kept at the desk of each candidate. No additional sheets are provided during the exam
  • Candidate must drop the rough sheets in the boxes provided at the exit of lab/venue while leaving
  • Candidates need to paste the recent coloured passport-size photograph at the allotted space in the admit card
  • Candidates need to mention their name, roll number, registration number and signature on the photocopy of the ID proof
  • Any stationery item such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner, etc are not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Any communication device such as mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band etc. are not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, any watch/wristwatch, camera, any metallic item, eatable item opened or packed, water bottle (only transparent water bottle is allowed), etc are not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Candidates are advised to avoid wearing ornaments such as ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch, etc

IBPS PO syllabus is different for prelims and Mains exams. The syllabus for the prelims exam includes topics from Quantitative Aptitude Reasoning and English . The syllabus for the Mains exam includes topics from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude & General Awareness as well as the topics for Letter Writing and Essay for the descriptive paper. The first and foremost step towards preparation is knowing the IBPS PO syllabus. Knowing the syllabus help candidates to formulate an effective preparation strategy for the exam. IBPS PO syllabus is given below:

Q:   When should I reach IBPS PO exam centre?

A:

You should reach the IBPS PO exam centre early before the reporting time to complete the verification process. After you are given entry to the exam hall, you need to sit on the allotted system. After that, you need to login with the password as mentioned on the IBPS PO admit card. Before beginning with the test, you should read the instructions catefully. You are also supposed to write the handwriting sample. All the questions comprises multiple choices. Out of the five answers, only one is the correct answer. You have to select the most appropriate answer and ‘mouse click’ that alternative which you feel is appropriate/correct. The alternative/ option that you have clicked on will be treated as your answer to that question. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked by you. For every wrong answer marked by you, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

 

Q:   What are the guidelines related to the capturing of biometric impression at the IBPS PO exam centre?

A:

In the IBPS PO exam, biometric date (Right thumb impression) will be captured twice at the examination venue i.e. before the start of exam and after completion of exam. The guidelines related to biometric verification are given below:

  • If fingers are coated (stamped ink/mehndi/coloured.etc..), ensure to thoroughly wash them so that coating is completely removed before the exam day
  • If fingers are dirty or dusty, ensure to wash them and dry them before the finger print (biometric) is captured
  • Ensure fingers of both hands are dry. If fingers are moist, wipe each finger to dry them
  • If the primary finger (Right thumb) to be captured is injured/damaged, immediately notify the concerned authority in
    the test centre

Yes, you can apply for any bank vacancy without passing the IBPS exam. IBPS is only required for PSU Banks. All other private banks hire individually. Thus, you still have a lot of banks to apply to without the IBPS exam.
