The AIIMS offers 4 years BSc (Honours) Nursing Course only for the female candidates. The male candidates are not eligible to apply for the exam. There are 1,366 seats in AIIMS BSc Nursing Course across the nation.

The AIIMS follows a standard reservation policy in the BSc Nursing Course admissions and the appropriate seats are reserved based on the policy.  The above number of seats are given based on the current notification. These seats can be change on the release of 2027 seat matrix.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Exam 2027 Eligibility

The AIIMS will not change the eligibility criteria for the BSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2027. The two important factors which the candidates always want to know about the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2027 Eligibility criteria are Age and educational qualification. These are provided below:

  • Candidates should have cleared Class 12 exams or an equivalent exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects.
  • Candidates of the General Category should have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in Class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate.

The above two conditions are indispensable for the exam.

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2027 Application

The AIIMS will release the BSc Nursing 2027 prospectus in the last week of March next year. The candidates will be asked to register on the AIIMS website and a new login credential will be created and shared with the candidate. The online applications will be available for over 25 days for the candidates. They will be required to log in with the newly created application id and password to fill their AIIMS Nursing application form

The candidates will be asked to pay the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2027 application fee as per their category and submit the form. AIIMS will also provide the application correction facility for the candidates.

AIIMS typically releases only one cut-off score for the B.Sc. Nursing program. A merit list is created based on the exam (and possibly interview) results. Candidates above the cut-off for their category are invited for counselling where they choose their preferred AIIMS institute based on their rank and seat availability. There might be a mop-up round for vacant seats, but the cut-off score remains the same.

Q:   Is the cutoff of AIIMS BSc nursing programme for the reserved category different from unreserved categories?
A: 

Yes, cutoff of reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories is different from unreserved categories (General category). Generally, the AIIMS nursing cutoff for the reserved category candidates is lower than the cutoff for the unreserved category candidates.

Yes, nursing graduates from Ahmedabad can apply for AIIMS nursing recruitment. AIIMS conducts its own recruitment exams for nursing officer positions. The basic eligibility is a B.Sc Nursing or GNM degree from a recognised institution and registration with the State Nursing Council.
