Stage 2: Personal Interview/Assessment scheme
AIIMS will call candidates who will be able to make it to the merit list based on the written exam for the personal interview/assessment round. The second stage will have a weightage of 30 marks. The final merit list will decide the fate of the candidate based on their performance in both stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria:
- Past academic record in the Higher Secondary or class 12 or equivalent examination
- Past academic record in the Nursing examination
- Performance as a Staff Nurse
AIIMS Nursing 2022 BSc Eligibility
AIIMS, New Delhi, examination section has defined particular eligibility criteria for the candidates who wish to appear for AIIMS Nursing 2021 to pursue the BSc programme. AIIMS Nursing 2021 eligibility criteria for various programmes at the undergraduate level is mentioned below:
BSc (Hons) Nursing Eligibility
- Candidates should have cleared class 12 exams or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects.
- Candidate of the general category should have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 50 per cent in aggregate
BSc (Hons) and BSc Paramedical Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university having Physics, Chemistry, English, and either Biology or Maths subjects
- Candidates from the General/EWS/OBC category should have secured a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate in class 12 and SC/ST category candidates should have secured 45 per cent in aggregate
BSc Nursing (Post basic) Eligibility
- Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university having Physics, Chemistry, English, and either Biology or Maths subjects. However, candidates who have qualified for class 11 on or before 1986 can also apply.
- Candidates possessing a Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from any Indian Nursing Council recognized institution.
- Candidate must have registered themselves as a nurse or as a midwife with the State Nursing Council. While in the case of male nurses, besides being a registered nurse, they should have six-month training in any of the mentioned subjects is mandatory.
