AIIMS B.Sc Nursing Counselling 2025: Seat Matrix, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment, Institute Reporting

AIIMS conducted three rounds of counselling for admission to the BSc nursing programme. After each round of counselling, candidates had to check and download the seat allocation result through the direct link provided below:

The AIIMS seat allocation is decided based on the choices filled and locked by the aspirants. Depending on the rank secured by the aspirant, category, and the availability of seats, the applicant gets admission. It is not mandatory to seek admission to the seat allocated in round one. Candidates can participate in further rounds as well.    

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the AIIMS BSc nursing counselling 2025:

1. Log in to the Online Seat Allocation portal in the MyPage. The link for the portal will be activated only for eligible candidates.
2. Register for AIIMS BSc Nursing Counselling
3. Fill in the choices of seats of AIIMS and arrange them in the desired order
4. Candidates can opt for any number of choices, edit the choices, and reorder the choices on or before the deadline ends.
5. The portal will be locked either by the candidate OR automatically on the deadline.
6. The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to the choices selected by the candidate

After the SELECTED candidates accept the online allocated seat, documents/DD need to be submitted to AIIMS New Delhi to confirm the allotted seat. The candidates whose names appear on the list, their Medical examinations & other admission formalities will be conducted at a physical location designated by AIIMS Delhi. There is no additional charge for the online seat assignment procedure.

When AIIMS Delhi releases the Seat Allocation result, candidates are required to exercise either of the two options:

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted Seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation

In this case, the candidate will have to report at the respective AIIMS on the stipulated date with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the online seat allocation portal), Seat Allocation Letter/Slip from the online Portal and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of INR 1 Lakh only (One Lakh only) in the name of AIIMS MAIN GRANT along with photocopies of certificates. The DD 
will be refunded only when the original certificates are deposited. If original certificates are not deposited at the time of joining,  admission will be cancelled. 

The candidate will not be able to participate in further rounds of counselling. In case the candidates fail to report within the stipulated time frame mentioned by the counselling conducting body, their admission will stand cancelled, and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation. However, such candidates will be eligible to participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

Option 2. ACCEPT Allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in the 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation

Reporting to the respective AIIMS campus on the stipulated date with the Offer Letter and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of INR 1 Lakh only (One Lakh only) in the name of AIIMS MAIN GRANT, along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded only when the original certificates are deposited for joining a seat in any round of seat allocation.

In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person on or before the stipulated date, the admission will stand cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation. If in the 2nd Round of seat allocation, a candidate who has chosen option 2 is allocated another seat as per the choice made, then the candidate will have to accept the seat allocated in the 2nd Round, and the seat allocated in the 1st Round were released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain the seat allotted in 1st Round and failure to join the seat allocated in 2nd Round shall lead to the imposition of a penalty of INR 1 lakh. 

The AIIMS Nursing 2025 counselling process was held online at the official website dedicated to admission to UG courses. The candidates were shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance exam. A merit list was released stating the highest percentile on the official website of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Selected candidates had to report online on the day of counselling.

The shortlisted candidates were informed via their registered email or via SMS on their mobile number via SMS, mentioning all the details of the counselling. AIIMS did not send any call letter to the shortlisted candidates through post or by any other means.

The list of Documents/Certificates required at the time of AIIMS Nursing counselling 2025 are mentioned as under:

1. Offer Letter
2. Seat allocation letter
3. Final Registration Slip
4. Admit Card issued by AIIMS
5. 10th passing/ Birth Certificate showing his/her date of birth
6. Self-attested copy of the certificate in proof of passing the 12th class 
7. Self-attested copy of a certificate from the Board showing his/her date of birth
8. SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate (if applicable)
9. Certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disability (if applicable)

AIIMS is an autonomous body of the Government of India and hence abides by the policy of reservation of seats as per the government order. The seat reservation matrix is listed below in the table:

After the AIIMS nursing counselling, the candidates qualifying for admission were required to pay a fee of INR 5,000 as a token for admission to reserve the seat. The credentials of the candidates will be re-verified by a selection committee/board, depending upon their rank on the merit list. The verification process will be conducted via the online process.
