AIIMS BSc Nursing Counselling 2026 will start soon for candidates who have qualified the in the result. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences will inform the Counselling dates and other document requirements either through a public notice or through email.

The counselling process will consist of the release seat matrix, choice filling, document verification, and final admission confirmation. Aspirants must register online before the deadline. The seat matrix shows available positions in AIIMS institutes nationwide. Choice filling is done to select preferred colleges based on availability and category.

The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 counselling concluded in September 2025 after the results of the open round of counselling were released on September 22, 2025. The last date to report to the allotted institute was September 27, 2025.

The open round of counselling was organised in offline mode. The first two rounds were held online through the official website of AIIMS. It was mandatory for the candidates to participate in Round 1 to be eligible for seat allocation in Round 2. The choice filling was not allowed in Round 2. Applicants are advised to check the important dates of AIIMS BSc counselling, so that no event is missed.  The seat allocation for AIIMS BSc (Hons.) Nursing Courses were offered as per the choices made by eligible candidates

Q:   When will AIIMS BSc Nursing counselling will start?

The AIIMS BSc Nursing counselling registration or choice filling process started on July 11, 2025. Two rounds of counselling were conducted, which were scheduled till August 7, 2025. Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria were allowed to appear for the counselling process. Eligible applicants had to appear in the counselling by visiting the official website. 

 

Q:   How will applicants register and set a new password for AIIMS BSc Nursing seat allocation?
A: 

Firstly applicants will have to click on the link ‘Register and Set a new password’ on the AIIMS B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Online Seat Allocation portal. Follow the instructions to set new password. Note that this password is separate from the password required to access MyPage. Students must maintain both the passwords.

AIIMS Nursing 2025 result will be used during the counselling. The AIIMS participating institutes/campuses will ask for a hard copy of the AIIMS Nursing result during the counselling and completion of admission formalities.

AIIMS Nursing Counselling Process 2026

Follow the steps mentioned below to apply for the AIIMS BSc nursing counselling 2026:

  1. Log in to the Online Seat Allocation portal in the MyPage. The link for the portal will be activated only for eligible candidates.
  2. Register for AIIMS BSc Nursing Counselling
  3. Fill in the choices of seats of AIIMS and arrange them in the desired order
  4. Candidates can opt for any number of choices, edit the choices, and reorder the choices on or before the deadline ends.
  5. The portal will be locked either by the candidate OR automatically on the deadline.
  6. The seat allocation will be done in order of merit and according to the choices selected by the candidate

After the SELECTED candidates accept the online allocated seat, documents/DD need to be submitted to AIIMS New Delhi to confirm the allotted seat. The candidates whose names appear on the list, their Medical examinations & other admission formalities will be conducted at a physical location designated by AIIMS Delhi. There is no additional charge for the online seat assignment procedure.

When AIIMS Delhi releases the Seat Allocation result, candidates are required to exercise either of the two options:

Option 1. ACCEPT allotted Seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation

In this case, the candidate will have to report at the respective AIIMS on the stipulated date with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the online seat allocation portal), Seat Allocation Letter/Slip from the online Portal and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of INR 1 Lakh only (One Lakh only) in the name of AIIMS MAIN GRANT along with photocopies of certificates. The DD 
will be refunded only when the original certificates are deposited. If original certificates are not deposited at the time of joining,  admission will be cancelled. 

The candidate will not be able to participate in further rounds of counselling. In case the candidates fail to report within the stipulated time frame mentioned by the counselling conducting body, their admission will stand cancelled, and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation. However, such candidates will be eligible to participate in the Open Round of Seat Allocation.

Option 2. ACCEPT Allotted Seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in the 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation

Reporting to the respective AIIMS campus on the stipulated date with the Offer Letter and deposit original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of INR 1 Lakh only (One Lakh only) in the name of AIIMS MAIN GRANT, along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded only when the original certificates are deposited for joining a seat in any round of seat allocation.

In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not report in person on or before the stipulated date, the admission will stand cancelled and he/she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Seat Allocation. If in the 2nd Round of seat allocation, a candidate who has chosen option 2 is allocated another seat as per the choice made, then the candidate will have to accept the seat allocated in the 2nd Round, and the seat allocated in the 1st Round will be released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain the seat allotted in 1st Round and failure to join the seat allocated in 2nd Round shall lead to the imposition of a penalty of INR 1 lakh. 

The AIIMS Nursing 2026 counselling process will be held online at the official website dedicated to admission to UG courses. The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance exam. A merit list will be released stating the highest percentile on the official website of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Selected candidates had to report online on the day of counselling.

The shortlisted candidates will be informed via their registered email or via SMS on their mobile number via SMS, mentioning all the details of the counselling. AIIMS did not send any call letter to the shortlisted candidates through post or by any other means.

The second round of AIIMS BSc Nursing (H) counselling was scheduled from August 2 to August 7, 2025. The vacant seat matrix and seat allotment result was released on August 2, 2025. The institute reporting process was held from August 4 to August 7, 2025. Applicants whose name were included in the seat allocation list, can have to further appear for the counselling process by submitting the necessary documents.

Q:   When will open round counselling of B.Sc Nursing will start at AIIMS?
A: 

The AIIMS Delhi started the open round counselling registration on September 13, 2025, as there were vacant seats after the Round-2 AIIMS BSc Nursing Counselling. After the registration concluded, authorities released the seat allotment result on September 22, 2025.  The last date for the Online acceptance of the allocation/deposit original Document after the AIIMS BSc Nursing open round counselling result was September 27, 2025.

AIIMS Nursing 2026 - Reservation of Seats

AIIMS is an autonomous body of the Government of India and hence abides by the policy of reservation of seats as per the government order. The seat reservation matrix is listed below in the table:

After the AIIMS nursing counselling, the candidates qualifying for admission were required to pay a fee of INR 5,000 as a token for admission to reserve the seat. The credentials of the candidates will be re-verified by a selection committee/board, depending upon their rank on the merit list. The verification process will be conducted via the online process.

Yes, nursing graduates from Ahmedabad can apply for AIIMS nursing recruitment. AIIMS conducts its own recruitment exams for nursing officer positions. The basic eligibility is a B.Sc Nursing or GNM degree from a recognised institution and registration with the State Nursing Council.
