The CNET 2025 seat allotment result for the round-2 counselling was released on July 3, 2025. The institute reporting process began on July 4, 2025, and it will be open till July 9, 2025. During this window, candidates can exercise three choices:
- Accept the college and confirm the seat
- Decline the college and wait for the mop-up round to begin
- No option to upgrade will be offered in Round 2.
Candidates who chose the ‘Upgrade’ option in Round-2 and the college has been changed in the CNET Round-2 counselling, for them it is mandatory to join the college in Round-2. It is because the previous seat will be cancelled when a new seat is allotted. So, whether you like this college allotted in round-2 or not, it is a mandate to join it in round-2.
Candidates are free to accept, decline, or join the college till July 9, 2025. Those who do not accept the college in Round 2 can participate in the mop-up round. To participate in the CNET mop-up round, the university will demand the security fee again (i.e., INR 5000/- + 500/-) will have to be paid again by the applicant. Though this fee should be refunded, last year lot of candidates were not given back the security amount paid for the second time. Therefore, there is no guarantee of the mop-up round security amount refunded to the candidates.

The UP CNET test centre request for change will not be entertained by ABVMU, the official conducting body. Once allocated on the admit card, the examination centre address will not be altered. Pick and choose the test city carefully at the time of filling the application form.
