The Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP CNET) application forms are expected to be available from March 2026 for the academic year 2026-27. The registration window remains open for the next 30 days. Candidates can apply for the UP CNET 2026 exam online at the official website, abvmuup.edu.in.

UP CNET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must check the UP CNET eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. Find out the age criteria and the education qualification required to appear for the UP CNET exam:

UP CNET Age Criteria

A candidate must have attained a minimum age of 17 Years. The maximum age of a candidate to apply for the entrance exam is 35 Years. Age Relaxation will only be applicable for Reserved Categories as per Government Norms.

UP CNET Education Qualification Criteria

  1. CNET ABVMU 2026 for BSc Nursing, candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) taken together, and passed English individually, from a recognized board
  2. English should be a compulsory subject in 10+2 for eligibility for admission in BSc Nursing.
  3. For admission to Government Nursing colleges, the candidate must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh

Q:   What is the maximum age limit to appear for the UP CNET 2026 exam?
A: 

Candidate not more than 35 years of age can apply for the UP CNET exam. The minimum age to appear for the CNET nursing exam is 17 years. Age is an important criterion. Candidates must adhere to it while filling the application form. Candidates not fulfilling this criterion but having qualified the exam will not be given admission to the CNET participating institutes.

Q:   Is English in Class 12th compulsory to apply for the UP CNET 2026 exam?
A: 

Yes, English is a compulsory subject in class 12th to apply for the UP CNET exam. Candidates must also have passed physics, chemistry, and biology with 50 per cent overall aggregate in class 12th to be eligible to apply for the nursing entrance exam. Reserved category candidates must have scored 45 per cent marks to be eligible for appearing in the entrance exam.

UP CNET Application Process 2026

Find out the detailed UP CNET application process here:  

The CNET application form will be accepted only through the online mode of submission available at the official website in online mode. Do provide the below mentioned details true and correct:

  • Valid and registered personal email ID
  • Mobile number

Initially, applicants will have to create his/her Unique Registration number by providing their personal details. The mobile number and email ID will be verified using the OTP. Once successfully logged in, it is mandatory to change the default password after the first login. Without changing the default password, one cannot proceed further with the application form filling & fee payment process.

Here is a quick guide to help you fill the form: 

Stage 1: Personal Information

Personal details such as First Name (As per Class 10th Certificate/Marksheet), Middle Name, Last Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Email Address, Mobile Number & Alternate Mobile Number, WhatsApp Number, Category would be required to fill the form

Stage 2: Address details

Residential details, such as Address, State, City, and Pin Code, are mandatory to be filled.

Stage 3: Educational Qualifications & Centre City Preferences

For the test centre, the applicant will have to provide his/her preference for the test centre city. A total of 3 preferences can be selected in order of preference. The decision to allocate the centre rests in the hands of the exam conducting authority.

Stage 4: Photo, Signature, and Verification Sheet

Candidate must upload his/her photo, signature, and a scanned copy of a duly filled verification sheet as per the specifications mentioned.

Stage 5: Bank Details and Form Preview

The candidate has to submit his/her Bank Account Details to process the refund in case the need arises

Stage 6: Live Photo Uploading

The candidate will have to use the Webcam on a Computer/Laptop or the camera of a mobile phone. Once the live photograph is satisfactorily captured, click on the “Upload Live Photograph” button.

After completing all the steps, download the final submitted application form by clicking on the Print Button after the successful submission of the application fee.

Q:   Will the UP CNET registration last date 2026 get extended?
A: 

UP CNET 2026 registration dates have not been released yet. However, last year the registration deadline was extended from April 26 to May 3. The conducting body, ABVMU, will inform the candidates regarding such changes through a notification, which will be published on the official website.  

Q:   What if I forget my UP CNET registration ID number?
A: 

If a candidate forgets his/her Registration Id number, click on “Forgot Registration Id Number” on official website to receive again Unique Registration Id number on registered mobile number via a SMS or Email.

CNET Application Fee 2026

The UP CNET application fee must be paid online through the official admission portal at abvmuup.edu.in. There is no provision to make the payment in offline mode. After filling out the online application form, candidates will be directed to the payment gateway, where the online fee payment must be made to ensure that all the steps of the registration process have been completed. 

Here are the details of the fee payment, which was to be done last year to appear in the exam:

On clicking the “Pay Fee for B.Sc. Nursing” button, the candidate will be redirected to an Online payment Gateway to pay the Application Fee Online via a Debit Card / Credit Card/ Net Banking or UPI. Please note that in case of payment failure, the candidate can attempt the payment again. Do wait for 30 minutes before making any other attempt for payment if the previous one failed.

Q:   What is the UP CNET nursing application fee?
A: 

A UP CNET application fee of INR 3000 needs to be paid by the Unreserved/Other Backward Classes (UR/OBC) category students. While applicants from Scheduled Cast/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Disability (SC/ST/PwD) category are required to pay INR 2000.

Q:   What is Upload Live Photograph feature of the UP CNET 2026 application process?
A: 

As per this unique feature that has been introduced by ABVMU, the applicant is expected to sit in front of the laptop/computer through which he/she is filling out the CNET Application form. Then click their picture and upload it in live format. This practice has been established to fetch true and authentic data.

UP CNET Application Correction 2026

The UP CNET application correction facility starts after the registration process concludes. This window is extended to let the candidates make corrections in the information that was wrongly entered in the application form. It is advised that one must avail this as a last chance to submit a full-proof registration form. ABVMU will announce the correction window dates along with the official prospectus. Please note that the primary information submitted during registration cannot be changed or altered at any later.

Q:   Can I make changes to my CNET nursing application form after submitting it?
A: 

Yes, the UP CNET application correction window will be opened for a span of one week. Candidates will be allowed to make some basic changes in the CNET nursing application form. After the stipulated date, no candidate will be allowed to make changes to the CNET application form. Please note that Primary Information submitted during registration cannot be changed or altered. The editing of limited field(s) can be done during the Form correction window.

Q:   When will I have to choose the UP CNET 2026 test centre to appear for the exam?

Q:   Till when can I apply for the CNET nursing application process?

Last year, the application window was open till May 3, 2025 after it got extended. The dates for the current year have not been announced yet. The examination fee, once deposited, will not be refunded.

Q:   What education qualification is mandatory to be eligible for CNET nursing exam?

To pursue the BSc nursing programme a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam. The candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in class 12. Minimum Marks required to apply for the exam are 45% for reserved categories and 50% marks for the general category to apply for the qualifying examination.
