PGIMER BSC Nursing 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The PGIMER BSC Nursing eligibility says that the candidate must fulfill the following conditions before proceeding with the PGIMER BSc nursing application process:

  1. The applicant must be an Indian citizen
  2. The aspirant should have passed the class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects, or any other equivalent examination with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate
  3. Aspirants appearing for the class 12 exam in April/May 2026 will also be eligible to apply
  4. The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed more than 25 years and not be less than 17 years in the year of admission

PGIMER BSc Nursing 2026 Admit Card

The PGIMER BSc Nursing 2026 admit card will be released around 10 days before the exam date. The hall ticket will be issued at pgimer.edu.in, by providing the login details at the admission portal. Candidates are advised to take a coloured printout of it and keep it safe for future reference. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the test centre. It is the only identity proof that validates that you must appear for the exam.

The PGIMER BSc Nursing 2026 exam pattern states that it is an online exam of 90 minutes. There are a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from General English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and General Knowledge/Current Affairs sections.  Each question carries 1 mark, and there is a negative marking as well in the exam.

The PGIMER BSC Nursing result is declared by the conducting body around 15 days after the exam concludes. The result is expected to be announced in August 2026 in the form of a merit list as per the previous year trends. The  PGIMER BSc Nursing counselling will begin after the exam results are declared. PGIMER Chandigarh will organise the entire counselling process on the official website. The PGIMER BSc Nursing exam is of 100 marks. Obtaining around 97 to 99 marks is considered as good score in the exam. Even the PGIMER Nursing cutoff for General category candidates was around 98.7938 percentile in last two years.

The total score in the PGIMER BSc Nursing entrance exam is 100. There are 100 objective-types questions in the exam and each question carries 1 mark. The exam also carries negative marking of 0.25 mark for each incorrect answer.
