PGIMER Nursing Counselling 2026: Guidelines
PGIMER BSc nursing counselling 2026 will be conducted as per the rules notified by the PGI Chandigarh. Have a look at the counselling-related important instructions below-Â
- The seats in PGIMER BSc Nursing will be allotted strictly based on merit. Â
- All the qualified candidates will have to present themselves physically during counselling. Â
- The qualified applicants will have to visit the auditorium of the National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE), PGIMER, Chandigarh, for document verification.Â
- Original documents will be required along with one set of photocopy. Â
- For BSc Nursing (4 years), the process will be held in the auditorium for document verification.
- Selected candidates will have to pay the fee etc. through the online mode (through debit/credit card only) Â / Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque on the spot, failing which her / his selection will be treated as cancelled and seats will be offered to the next candidate in order of merit.
- The Demand draft (DD) / banker cheque (purchased / issued from Bank and not from the personal cheque book) should be in favour of âPostgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarhâ as per amount (two separate DDs/ Bankerâs cheque) mentioned below:-
- B.Sc. Nursing 1st Draft/Bankerâs Cheque - INR 850 on account of course fee
- 2nd Draft/Bankerâs Cheque - on account of course fee INR 5,000 on account of securityÂ

Documents Required for the PGIMER Nursing 2026 Counselling
The candidate is required to carry a set of documents along with them on the day of Counselling. They have to bring a set of self-attested documents along with the originals for verification on the day of PGIMER nursing 2026 counselling. Below is the list of documents required for the counselling:

PGIMER Nursing 2026 counselling will be concluded in four rounds, depending on the availability of the seats. Details about the counselling rounds are mentioned below:
- First Counselling: As many as eight times the number of total seats available in each category, candidates were called for each seat. In case any candidate does not choose any of the available seats, he/she can attend the next round of counselling.
- Second Counselling: If any vacant seat is left after the first counselling, the conducting body organizes the second counselling round. Candidates who did not choose the respective seat will be eligible to attend the second round.
- Third Counselling: In continuation of the first and second counselling, if any seats are left vacant, the third counselling round will be organized
- Open Counselling: To conclude the counselling process, the conducting body could organize open counselling to fill up all the vacant seats (if any). The open counselling round will be based on the merit rank of the participating candidates.
