PGIMER BSc Nursing Exam Pattern 2026

The PGIMER BSc Nursing 2026 exam will be conducted to facilitate admissions to the BSc nursing programme. Find out complete details about the exam pattern here: 

  1. Exam Duration: It is a 90-minute-long exam, and candidates are advised to reach the allotted exam centre at least 30 minutes before the examination starts. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall without completing 90 minutes of the maximum time allotted to them.
  2. Mode of Exam: PGIMER BSc Nursing exam will be an online test. The candidates will be allotted computer systems at the exam centre with a one-time login and password. All the answers marked by the candidate will be saved automatically in the system.
  3. Type and Number of Questions: There will be 100 questions in the exam in the English language. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer out of the four options. In case of any issue regarding the understanding of any question or any doubt regarding the question paper, the candidates can ask for assistance from the invigilator. There will be 25 questions from Biology, Chemistry, and Physics each, and 15 and 10 questions from current affairs and English, respectively.
  4. Exam sections: PGIMER BSc Nursing exam is a gateway for admission to the BSc nursing course, and the candidates should have passed the class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English subjects. Based on the same, the nursing entrance exam will have five sections, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and General Knowledge.
  5. Marking Scheme: The marking of PGIMER BSc Nursing will enable the candidate to score maximum marks in the entrance exam. The candidate will get 1 mark for every correct answer and a 0.25 mark will be deducted. Zero marks will be given for every un-attempted question. The question paper will carry 100 marks in total.
