Tie-Breaking Criteria for PGIMER BSc Nursing Result 2026
A Tie situation arises if two or more candidates score an equal number of marks in the entrance exam. To award the fair ranking to deserving candidates, the Tie-Breaking method is used. The PGIMER has set a criterion for Tie-breaking:
- A candidate who has appeared in more attempts to pass the qualifying exam (Class 12) or the PGIMER BSc Nursing entrance will be given a higher order of preference
- If the tie is still not resolved, then the candidate with higher marks in the PGIMER entrance examination will be given the benefit
- If the tie still persists, then the age of the candidate will be taken into consideration. A candidate who is older in age will be given preference
