MSc Nursing Admission 2025: Dates, Eligibility, Fees, & Selection Process

MSc Nursing Admission is based on both merit and an entrance exam systems. It is a 2-year-long PG degree program training medical students in nursing education, management, and leadership roles

Eligibility Criteria

  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience after BSc Nursing Post Basic.

  • The applicant must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

Amity University, Gurugram
  • A degree in B.Sc.(Nursing)/ B.Sc(Hons.) Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate score from a recognized university or INC.

  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience after BSc Nursing Post Basic.

  • The applicant must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

JIMPER Puducherry
  • A degree in BSc Nursing from a recognized university.

  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience after BSc Nursing Post Basic.

  • The applicant must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

  • Candidates with a Post Basic BSc Nursing degree from IGNOU are not eligible.
PGIMS Rohtak
  • A degree in B.Sc.(Nursing)/ B.Sc(Hons.) Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate score from a recognized university or INC.
  • 50% minimum score in case of SC/OBC categories.
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience from a Hospital of a Recognized Medical College/ Registered Hospital with a minimum of 100 beds.

MSc Nursing Admission process

  1. Conduct personal-level research and know the eligibility for the courses in your chosen college.
  2. Look out for whether the admission requires appearing in any entrance; if yes, then choose the exam accordingly.
  3. Register, prepare, and appear for the exams accepted/ conducted by the colleges and wait for the results.
  4. Apply to the universities/ colleges by filling out the application/ registration form.
  5. Check out the official websites for your score.
  6. Attend counselling sessions if shortlisted.
  7. Pay the fees before you start with your classes.

Entrance Syllabus

Entrance Exams Exam Syllabus
KEAM Syllabus The KEAM syllabus contains mainly 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The topics are mainly based on the Class 11 and 12 syllabus.
CUET-PG Syllabus The CUET-PG syllabus for the Nursing exam is subject-specific. It includes topics such as Psychology, Nursing Foundation, Community Health Nursing, etc.
AIIMS Nursing Syllabus AIIMS MSc Nursing entrance syllabus includes subjects including Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition, Biochemistry, Nursing Foundation, etc.
NEET PG Syllabus The NEET PG Syllabus includes a combination of Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and Clinical subjects.
