OUAT 2025 Entrance Exam was held on June 2 and 3, 2025, for those who wish to pursue undergraduate courses. The OUAT 2025 Result will be out on July 5, 2025. Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) conducts OUAT Entrance Exam to shortlist aspirants for admission in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and PhD level programmes offered at the university and its affiliated colleges. The OUAT Entrance Exam for UG course admissions is usually conducted in the month of April/May each year. However, the exam for UG course admissions was conducted on June 2 and 3, 2025. The OUAT Entrance Exam for UG and PG course admissions is of two two-hour durations. The answer key for the OUAT 2025 Exam will be out between June 20 to 24, 2025.

However, the test pattern for both the course levels is completely different. The  OUAT exam for UG admissions comprises objective-type questions of 200 marks, whereas there are objective as well as subjective questions in the OUAT entrance exam for PG course admissions, and the maximum marks aspirants can secure in it is 100 marks.

Q:   Can I get direct admission in OUAT?
A:

No, there is no such procedure to take direct admission in the OUAT exam. Applicants are required to fill the application form and appear in the OUAT entrance exam for their desired course. 

Since there are two entrance exams OUAT UG & OUAT PG, hence applicants who want to take admission in their desired course need to apply accordingly. 

The application form, release of admit card, answer key & result will be released in online mode only.  

Q:   How to get admission to BVSC & AH and BFSc through OUAT entrance exam if a candidate comes from a non-PCB and PCM background?
A:

Candidates without having Mathematics or Biology will have to make up for their deficiency by taking pre-requisite courses in the subject (Mathematics / Biology) to be offered during the first two semesters. For admission into B.V.Sc & A.H and B.F.Sc. subject combination P.C.B. in + 2 science/equivalent is mandatory. Similarly, for B.Tech (Agril. Engg.), subject combination P.C.M in + 2 science / equivalent are mandatory.

Q:   Does OUAT reserve the right to change the number of seats required?
A:

The university reserves the right to change the number of seats if required. The latest rules and regulations in any matter of admission, specified by competent authority will be followed during the admission process. 3.1.2. When there is one seat for both SC & ST candidates, the seats are allotted on an alternate basis every year as specified in the prospectus.

Q:   Is it important for Kashmiri Migrants or Kashmiri Pandits to appear in OUAT PG Entrance Exam for admission to OUAT?
A:

The Kashmiri Migrants/ Kashmiri Pandit (Non-Migrants) / Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir Valley are not required to appear in the OUAT PG Entrance Examination - 2024. Interested candidates must apply online, without which admission is not allowed. The selection of these candidates will be made from a separate merit list prepared based on the highest OGPA/percentage of marks in Under Graduate programme. Without OGPA/marks of qualifying examinations, the application will be invalid. In case of a tie, it will be resolved considering the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination followed by Class 12 science and 10th standard in that order.

Q:   How are Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology 2023 cut off marks determined?
A:

Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology 2023 cut off marks  can determined by many factors like it is based on the number of seats available in university, the level of difficulty of the entrance exam, and the Odisha government's reservation policy.  Every year cut off be be different and You can get detail information about this on OUAT Official website. and first of all students have to focus on study first not to worry about this factors before, check the syllabus and build the strong bass.

Q:   What are the exam centre guidelines for the online OUAT exam for admission to Masters programme?
A:

Candidates must know that they need to follow the guidelines and instructions on the day of the OUAT Exam as mentioned below:

  • The exam will be conducted in a single sitting.  The candidate must appear for the entrance examination as per the scheduled time and date mentioned in his/her admit card. 

  • The candidates are to report 2 hours before the examination. Detailed instructions will be provided on the admit card.  

  • No Mobile phone headphones/any other electronic gadgets are allowed during the examination. Candidates, who are found to use unfair means shall be debarred from the examination.  

  • The candidates are to obey instructions of the Centre Superintendent and Invigilators at the Examination Centre. 

  • The invigilators will take attendance on the attendance sheets in which the candidates shall have to put their full signature against their corresponding roll number.  

  • The candidate has to follow the COVID protocol (if required as per Govt. guidelines and if mentioned on the admit card).  

  • The candidate after logging in must go through instructions for the examination displayed on the computer screen.  

  • The examination does not require using any paper, pen, pencil or external calculator. However, paper will be supplied for rough work which will be collected by invigilators.  

  • Each student will get questions and a choice of answers in different order selected randomly from the affixed Question Data bank. 

  • The students just need to click on the Right Choice / Correct option from the multiple choices/options given with each question. For Multiple Choice Questions, each question has four options and the candidate must click the appropriate option.

OUAT Entrance Exam Admission Criteria For UG Courses

The selection of candidates for Admission into UG Courses as above, will be as per the merit list prepared by computing their weightage taking into consideration the percentage of marks secured in all three examinations i.e. 10th, +2 Science and Diploma in Agro- polytechnic and marks secured in the Entrance Examination as per the proportion given below:

A separate Entrance Test of multiple choice questions in English Medium will be conducted, carrying 200 marks of a two-hour duration from their respective Agro-Polytechnic syllabus.
