The University was established as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established along with 15 other Central Universities by an Act of Parliament in 2009. The University has been granted 503+ acres of land during its establishment by the state government. CUK has 21 schools and 21 constituent teaching departments. These establishments offer 40+ PG, UG, Diploma, Research, and Vocational programmes.

Take part in the interview round and pay the admission fee after confirmation of the admission. 

IUST (Islamic University of Science and Technology) is one of the best universities in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

The university has a very beautiful campus with a massive infrastructure with a well trained teaching faculty and is recognised by UGC and AICTE and is also a member of AIU, which makes it great both in terms of academics and infrastructure.

It was also one of the top performers in the National Innovation Rankings released by Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

As per the NIRF report 2026, 100% placements was recorded during UG 5-year placements 2025. Placement rate recorded in the rest of the courses is mentioned below:

The Emeritus Fellowship, the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Postdoctoral Fellowship of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Women, the Post-Doctoral Fellowship for SC/ST applicants, and other scholarships and fellowships are among those that the Central University of Jammu awards to students.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for Unmarried Girl Child Research in Social Science, Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship for individuals with disabilities, Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for candidates from SC/ST National Fellowship for OBC applicants, Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students Post-Graduation Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST Candidates, Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for a single girl child, and PG Scholarship for University rank holders Ishan Uday, Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship, and the Special Scholarship Program for the North Easters Region.

But there's no mention of a scholarship worth 100% that's exclusive to Central University.

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. Humanities as a stream provides a wide range of courses that can be studied after completing their 12th grade. Pursuing any of these degrees prepares you to understand the various levels of humanities and, as a result, carve out an appropriate job path. Candidates in the humanities can apply for positions in the government sector, such as banking firms, government ministries, legal firms, and political analysts.

Content Writer, Civil Services, Human Resource Manager, Defense Services, Lawyer, Journalist, Counsellor, and Therapist positions are available. As freshers, humanities graduates can expect to earn between INR 2-6 LPA.

After completing the undergraduate level course under Commerce, the candidates can find various jobs at entry or junior level in Accounting, Commerce, Banking and Finance and related fields such as Junior Accountant, Operations Management,  Data Analyst, Research and Development Manager, Information Systems Manager,  Project Manager,  etc..
