NIT Meghalaya offeres two years full-time MSc progarmme especially for the graduate students to pursue their studies in the fields of science. However, candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the institution, which are as follows:

• Candidates must have bachelor’a degree in BSc with 60% aggregate
• Must qualify for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT Jam) with a valid score
• Register for seat allocation through the Centralized Counselling for MSc (CCMN)

RGIPT Amethi generally offer admission in Diploma courses based on scores in RGIPT Diploma Admission Test (DAT), conducted by the college itself. However, vacant seats are filled on the basis of marks obtained in Class 10, with Math and Science as compulsory subjects. 

Indian Institute of Technology Goa, through seven schools of study, offers postgraduate, undergraduate, and Ph.D. courses to students. These courses are offered across Engineering and several other streams. The School of Mathematics and Computer Science and the School of Chemical and Materials Science has two other departments under them. Some of the schools of study under the IIT Goa are the School of Mathematics and Computer Science, the School of Electrical Sciences, the School of Physical Sciences, the School of Mechanical Sciences, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Chemical and Materials Science, and others.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 40125 and closing rank was 50701 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 46884 and 54995. Admission to Civil Engineering in NIT Puducherry is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Candidates seeking admission to BTech at IIT Jammu need to appear in both JEE Main and JEE Advanced and further go through JoSAA counselling to secure admission.  For MTech, admission is subject to GATE score followed by COAP counselling. Admission to PhD programme is entrance-based. Applicants need to appear for IIT JAM for admission to MSc programme.

IIT Dharwad offers significant placement packages to the students. The highest and average packages in the 2025 placements stood at INR 38.5 LPA and INR 14.65 LPA,  respectively. Overall 109 companies participated in the placement season,  Amazon, Oracle, TCS, and Cognizant were among the top recruiters.

NIT Manipur has a placement cell that handles all aspects of campus placements for the graduating students at NIT Manipur. The highest package offered during NIT Manipur placements stood at INR 47 LPA, which was offered by Amazon. Further, a total of 37 companies visited the campus and presented 147 offers to the students.

Candidates wishing to take admission in NIT Uttarakhand have to appear in given below entrance exam for admission: 

• BTech Entrance Exam: JEE Main 
• MTech Entrance Exam: GATE 
• MSc Entrance Exam: IIT JAM 
• PhD Entrance Exam: GATE/NET/SET qualified, often followed by an interview.

Candidates willing to take admission in courses offered at IIM Amritsar must fulfil the required eligibity criteria for that particular course. IIM Amritsar courses admissions are completely entrance exam based. 

IIM Amritsar offers a two-year full-time MBA programme. Candidates aspiring to take admission in MBA programme at IIM Amritsar must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories). Also, candidates should have a valid CAT score based on which they will get shortlisted for the personal interview (PI) round.

Selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell at IIM Amritsar for document verification and fee payment for final seat allotment.

IIM Amritsar offers a two-year hybrid mode Executive MBA programme. Interested candidates must have a UG degree in any domain with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved categories). Besides, having UG degree, candidates should also have a three-years of work experience. Also, candidates should have a valid score in CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ GATE exam followed by a PI round. Candidates can also appear for IAAT conducted by IIM Amritsar EMBA. For other courses, admission is based on entrance-exam.

IIIT Una admission is primarily entrance-based. The students are selected through national-level examinations conducted by different authorities like the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). students must have a valid score in different entrance exams. The various documents required for a successful application are Class 10 and 12 marksheets JEE Main scorecard, JEE (Main) admit card for candidate's identity verification Character certificate Photo ID proof and others. students must prepare well for the entrance exams as the competition is high. Study according to the GATE exam pattern, attempt GATE question papers, and hence be prepared to pass the exam.

NIT  Nagaland is among the newly established NITs in the northeast region. It managed to secure 201-250 band under Engineering category. As for its placement,   NIT Nagaland hasn't released the 2023 placement report. However, its previous year's placement was very decent. The the highest and mean package offered during NIT Nagaland placements 2022 stood at INR 45 LPA and  INR 8.09 LPA, respectively. Further, the top recruiters during NIT Nagaland placements 2022 included TCS, Deloitte and Infosys. Apart from this, according to NIT Nagaland NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during NIT Nagaland BTech and MTech placements 2022 stood at INR 9 LPA and INR 10.05 LPA, respectively.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh is among the top institutes for Engineering courses.
