Average life at Aliah University.
Placements: Placements at Aliah University are not bad, but not so excellent either. One of our seniors from M.A. got into Wipro, which is really good, but not everyone gets lucky. For internships, honestly, it is pretty good as there are several opportunities. Mainly, companies like Wipro, Tata, Cognizant, Infosys, etc. are common recruiters.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good. Smart classrooms, an air-conditioned library, Wi-Fi, and lift facilities are available. The only issue is with labs for a few departments, like ours, where proper lab facilities are missing. Hostel, canteen, medical, and sports facilities are quite good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable as well. The course curriculum is average as it lacks practical skills. It is not that bad either, as there are several opportunities you get while being on campus, especially with the department and teachers, to skill up yourself. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a passing criterion of 33%.
Other: I chose Economics. It is a bit different and encourages me because of its practical and scopeable options. Our course is quite good, but it could be better with practical skills being added. Events and fests are normal, and the campus surroundings are quite good. Scholarship opportunities are also available, mainly government-funded.
