Andhra University Bachelor of Science is a three-year UG-level course divided into six semesters. Additionally, the BSc course is offered in both full-time mode and distance learning. To be eligible for this course, candidates must have completed their higher senior secondary i.e., Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics subjects. For admission, to BSc some affiliated college of AU also accepts the AUCET and Andhra Pradesh EAMCET entrance examination scores. 

Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam offers BSc (Hons.) + one year MSc in Food Science & Technology. Admission to this four-year UG BSc course is based on entrance, the university accepts AUCET scores for admission to this course. AUCET or Andhra University Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam, conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The minimum marks needed to appear for the AUCET entrance exam to get admission to BSc at Andhra University differ on the basis of the candidates' category. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to BSc at AU through AUCET for the general category is 50% in Class 12, 45% for SC/ ST/ OBC in Class 12 and, similarly, 45% for PwD in Class 12.
