The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023.
