Chandigarh University (CU), India's best NAAC A+ accredited university, has taken another major stride towards establishing international ties and global collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Institute of Civilizational Studies, USA. It is worth noting that this partnership marks yet another successful move towards creating strong alliances that help boost learning, teaching, and research processes.

As per the vision of "Bridging Civilizations Through Knowledge," the agreement emphasizes integrating different knowledge systems and promoting civilizational studies through innovation and collaboration among academics worldwide.

Scope of the MoU

The MoU provides a framework of working together in many aspects of learning, research, and academic development. Some of the key areas covered under the agreement include developing new courses on IKS (Indian Knowledge System) and Civilizational Studies with an emphasis on introducing knowledge frameworks of Indics.

The partnership also offers possibilities of working together on the following initiatives:

  • Interdisciplinary joint research
  • Joint authorship of publications
  • Training programs for faculty development
  • Joint short courses
  • Projects and internships for students

The MoU will further open up avenues to jointly organize conferences, workshops, seminars, and other knowledge-sharing events, thus allowing for greater interactions in terms of culture and civilization among scholars around the world.

Beneficiaries

Duration & Signing of the Agreement
