The rules can get crazy but other than that the college is pretty amazing.
Placements: The placement cell is very helpful and helps the students get in touch with the companies they desire to work with, apart from the companies they regularly tie up with. They do have some ground rules which are complicated.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are available and are quite close to the college making commuting easy. The classrooms in the Humanities block are spacious, clean, and bright. The library is quipped with the required books. It is open till late and on holidays making it very accessible.
Faculty: Some teachers are very nice, knowledgeable, and open to new suggestions but there are exceptions for a few. Even though the staff is strict and the rules are rigid. The staff does provide the necessary help and assistance when required. The syllabus is regularly updated.
Other: The college doesn't provide many fests or events for the PG but it does have events like Ethnic Day, festival celebrations, and cultural events, making the college vibrant. The college has students from all over India, but the Mallu crowd does dominate the college.

M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2024

It is value for money and worth it. Teaching is excellent.
Placements: Basically, the university B.Com program is now an autonomous college affiliated with the university. There were many opportunities for placements for students. Campus placements were held every year. Students from any department of the college, such as mathematics, chemistry, and commerce were invited. We had the possibility of being selected as employees. They will get placement opportunities through recruiting agencies like Vedanta, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: College was excellent in terms of infrastructure. St. Joseph's College is now a university. So they provided all the basic and advanced facilities required for the students. We had a library that the students could access at any time.
Faculty: The curriculum was not rigorous. Faculty members were very approachable, well-qualified, and helpful. The course curriculum was well-planned and revised regularly. College provided a great experience, and the only problem was placement at college. Faculty members were quite good.
Other: Teaching was good here. It was value for money.

M.A. in English - Batch of 2022

Review of Jyoti Nivas College.
Placements: There are campus placement sessions where the most reputed companies come for recruitment. Students can also pursue content writing and editing. It also includes media jobs or mass communication-related jobs. News media and digital marketing companies offer jobs to students of English. Companies such as Paytm, IBM, and freelancers are called to recruit students. A large number of students are selected. Many new companies are starting to visit the college. The average package is around 2-4 lakhs. You will regularly get various internship programs almost every month.
Infrastructure: It is an autonomous university. The syllabus and corrections are handled in-house. The teaching staff is good, with a balanced co-curricular program. The course structure is well designed to benefit all students. Mid-week assessments are a regular method teachers use to evaluate students. The college has a girls' hostel that is well-equipped with all necessary amenities. The food provided has a variety on the menu every day for hostel girls. There is proper monitoring of health and hygiene, along with secure arrangements for the hostel girls.
Faculty: The college has a good, strong faculty. The correction system for the examination is good. We had good project guides for our project papers and assignments. Our departments had a lot of lecturers who were very helpful in every way possible. Notes were provided, study guides and materials, and a good library facility. The exam structure is the same as others. 25% of the internal assessment plus 75% of the written exam. The internals take place throughout the semester. Each year has two semesters, followed by semester exams at the end. A cumulative result is then obtained by adding the weightage.

My honest review about my college.
Placements: Placement opportunities were vast with top companies coming for campus placements. If any student had a particular job description in his/her mind, the placement officer had good collaboration with the companies that could help them out. There were companies such as Ernst&Young, KPMG, Goldman Sachs, and many others that came to the campus for both internships and placements.
Infrastructure: I was a day scholar but as usual I used to hear complaints from the hostel guys that the food was not good. They had some water problems and toilets not being clean and things like that. Courses and exams were just the way they used to happen during graduation, having 2 semesters in a year, and the internal exams making the 75+25 pattern. 75 marks for the theory part and the remaining 25 marks for the internal exams. There were no extra activities apart from exams and lectures.
Faculty: Faculty members were all experienced and elderly people in their 40s and 50s. They were very friendly and very strict. They knew the limits and were experts in handling the class. Studied in annual scheme at that time, there were two exams in a year which were mid-term and annual. We had quarterly assessments we had a carry-forward scheme even if we failed in two subjects. We had an option to carry forward those subjects for the next year, and we could appear for supplementary exams to clear those subjects.

My honest review about my college.
Placements: Kristu Jayanti College has a dedicated placement cell. The teachers in the placement cell guide and coach us on all aspects of attending an interview. We have been trained to such an extent that we are confident in succeeding at any interview without fear. Out of 60 students in our class, almost 20 were placed (only 35 students participated in the placement). Companies such as GT, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, and Indigo Airlines hired from our cohort. Nearly 40 to 50 percent of our class received placements, with 20 getting placed, and they were offered competitive salaries.
Infrastructure: I have not experienced the hostel facilities or mess food at Kristu Jayanti College. However, I have friends who stayed in the college hostel, and I have never heard them complain about the hostel or the mess food. They have consistently enjoyed the provided amenities.
Faculty: My department is fantastic, and the faculty members are very experienced. Many have worked in media houses before, and briefly explain how a media house operates. Our media lab is equipped well enough for us to learn a great deal. We have access to advanced equipment, and our syllabus is comprehensive and up-to-date. The excellent faculty members strive to deliver their best efforts, and there are feedback sessions after each semester. Faculty members are motivated to perform well because their positions depend on positive ratings. Essentially, it is a journalism course that encompasses both bachelor's and master's levels, attracting students from various fields, which allows them to teach a wide range of topics. In English Journalism, subjects include Communication Theory, Media Law, Media Ethics and Regulation, and the History of Journalism, among others.

Review of Maharani's Arts, Commerce and Management College for Wormen.
Placements: A college has a big placement cell. A big reputed companies visited the college to offer placement to the students. The package is also very high. A large number of students get the opportunity of placement for almost 100% of the students. The rigorous curriculum makes DSE students much sought after in the job market. The average package is around 13 lacs and the placement record is almost 100%. It does provide an internship. It's been a month since I have been here and there are already many posters that I see for an annual.
Infrastructure: The course syllabus was good enough and updated as well stone of the faculty members was the best in their field. I am staying in a college hostel. It's a divided and ruled system where all activities will be handled by the students. The hostel is available only for B.Sc. BCA data science, AI, M.Sc. MCA students' starting fee will be Rs. 13500 after the fee is reduced to approximately 6000 monthly mess fee should be paid which comes below Rs. 2000 nearby BCM hostels are also available hostel is okay.
Faculty: Various courses are offered in the college, and the faculty is just amazing. All my teachers were very helpful and motivating. They provide not only theoretical knowledge but also teach various lessons that are useful to our lives. All the teachers were brilliant. They are masters in their field, yet they are very down-to-earth and always available to help. My college days were indeed special because of my teachers. We have an internal assessment of thirty marks where we have to submit assignments, term papers, book reviews, etc., as instructed by the professors.
