Bharathiar University Coimbatore.

Placements: The university does have the placement cell on campus, but it’s not that much working. The Nanoscience and Technology department does not provide placement for the students. In my previous batch, no one was placed in any company. Instead of placement, they help to pursue the Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Technology.

Infrastructure: The university provides Wi-Fi across the campus for every student. The classrooms are good; they have a digital TV setup. There is a separate department library, but that library does not have as many books as the central library has. The department labs are well-equipped with the instruments. The hostel facility is also good and has good infrastructure. The mess is good, and the canteen is also good, but the medical facility is not working. The sports are there but not in good condition.

Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, good in teaching, and full of knowledge, but they don’t come for teaching regularly. Instead of them, Ph.D. scholars come for teaching. The department has 3 exams before the final semester exams. The course curriculum is good but somewhat old. It makes students industry-ready but not that much up-to-date. The semester exams are quite difficult in this college. They check the papers strictly.

Other: The course is good and has a good future, which is why people choose this course. But some students came because they didn’t get the admission in Medical Physics of this university, so they came to this department, transferring them to Nanoscience and Technology. The people are good, and there are many fests also celebrated here. The connectivity of the university is good. It is outside the city area but has good connectivity. Here, many of the functions are celebrated, and there are also social workshops with other departments. The campus is surrounded by the greenery and mountains of the Western Ghats. The scholarship is provided by the state government for state students.

Placements: The placement rate in Bharathiar University is very good. Overall, 90% of students get placed in our courses. The maximum and minimum salary packages are 20 LPA and 5 LPA. The average salary package is 12 LPA. Top recruiting firms are Bruker, DuPont, Shimadzu, etc. 85% of students got internships. Top roles are Nanoelectronics Researcher, Nanoengineer, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well developed, and the equipment is accessible within the city. We offer technical labs for day-to-day use. I would like to note that the food served at the hostel is quite good. Hostel facilities are satisfactory to a point but have strict rules for girls; they cannot enter the college campus without permission.

Faculty: Teaching faculty members are very helpful and knowledgeable. Theoretical and practical knowledge is taught, and sometimes exercises are performed, which are good for rapid conceptual understanding. The curriculum is appropriate and prepares students for employment. Semester exams are easy, and the pass rate is about 75%.

Overall best University for M.Sc. In Nanoscience and Technology Course.

Placements: About 73% of students are admitted to our college. The highest salary offered is 25 LPA and the minimum salary offered is 5 LPA. The average salary is 12 LPA. The list of top recruiting companies are Adnano Technologies, Dabur Pharma, Velbio Nanotech etc. The top jobs offered are Researcher, Scientist and so on.

Infrastructure: Our department has provided us with good and spacious classrooms, practical laboratories with high quality equipment and machinery. We also have Wi-Fi with a computer room and stocked library. I live outside the hotel. My guest friends told me that it is average. College canteen offers quality food at affordable prices. Stadium and games are encouraged here.

Faculty: The quality of teaching varies from average to below average. The curriculum can be improved as compared to other institutions, offering the same courses. If you know the subject well enough to pass, you can easily pass the semester exam. The pass percentage is about 75%. .

Placements: The percentage of students going to university is high. About 75% of students participate in my classes. The average salary package was 10 LPA, with the maximum and minimum salaries being 20 LPA and 5 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters were Dabur Pharma, Media Biotech, and Adano Technologies etc. The top jobs offered were Project Assistant, Project Engineer, Lecturer, and more.

Infrastructure: The nanoscience department was quite good, and the labs were well equipped with quality equipment. SEM, TEM, and XRD labs were available for practical sessions. Hostel amenities include beds, attached bathrooms, laundry facilities, and food available amidst the chaos.

Faculty: Faculty was very knowledgeable, and most of them hold PhDs in their fields with many years of experience. Teaching method were a blend of practical and theoretical learning, with practical sessions taking place in the labs. Semester exams were not very difficult, and the pass rate was around 70%.

Infrastructure: Our college environment is very good. Our classrooms are very clean and well-maintained. We have a huge library with many types of books. Our college has a fast WI-FI system. Our hostel service is also very good. Very healthy and very tasty food is available in our canteen. The medical system at our college is very good. Our college has a big playground, and it also has sports facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, highly educated, and very friendly. The quality of education is excellent. Semester exams are tough but logical, designed to test a comprehensive understanding of the content. The pass rate is generally high, around 90%, which indicates the effectiveness of the teaching method and the readiness of the students.
