I am pretty satisfied because the placements provided for the previous batch were decent enough.

Placements: Almost 80% of our eligible seniors got placed this year from our college. The highest salary package offered was 13 LPA, and most of the students got placed with a salary package of 6.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our college are Intel, Cognizant, Infosys, Oracle, etc. About 50% of the students got internship opportunities.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is pretty good. There are well-equipped classrooms as well as labs. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the quality of the food served in the mess is decent enough. Sports facilities are quite good. There is a dispensary for students who require medical facilities.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members here have decent knowledge about the subjects of the course, but not all of them. Most of them are helpful and understand the situation of the students and also tends to guide them properly. The course curriculum is not very relevant as it is old.

Other: I have chosen this course because it provides many opportunities to get a decent job. Our college organises three main events, i.e., technical fest, musical fest and a sports fest.

I'm not satisfied with the fee structure, and the placements are also bad in the college.

Placements: Placements in the college were not very satisfactory, as 18 students got placed out of 40. The highest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA, the lowest package offered was 3.25 LPA, and the average salary package offered was about 4 LPA. Most of the students had backlogs due to which they are not eligible campus placements. Mostly, the mass recruiters visited the college to offer placements. Students have to find means to get internships on their own and they have to do at least 3 internships to get placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very old. The college was established on 26th September 2006. Wi-Fi facility is available in the campus for all the students but not 1st-year students as they are not provided with the username and password. Classrooms are clean, but some have major issues with the seating arrangements. The labs haven't been upgraded from ages. Only one or two staff are assigned to the lab. Machines are functional, but they are very old. The canteen provides less variety of food at high prices. The hostel rooms are spacious for two persons. LAN is available in the hostel for the 1st year students, with a speed of 100-150 Kbps.

Faculty: Some teachers in the college are helpful, and some are not. Some of them have PhD degree while some are pursuing it. Some teachers are good at providing knowledge to students but some lag behind. They teach us chalk-board to teach. Student to faculty ratio is bad.

Other: Our college organises various events like Prakrida, athlete meets, Technika, drama, dancing, singing and debate competitions. Career development club and programming club are present in the college.

This college should be considered as a last choice.

Placements: The placement scenario was declining from past few years, but things are gradually improving. Almost 5 girls have bagged above 10 LPA. The average package is 4-5 LPA. The students all over Patna and nearby colleges now come here for the placements. Few from NIT and some other like BIT Deoghar, Bhagalpur, etc., take part in the placement over here on the campus. The students bag bigger on the off campus. A guy bagged 17.5 LPA this year from off-campus.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is where the college lags. The hostels are good as well as classrooms are fine, but the extra small size of the campus is what decorates everything. The college administration is less concerned about campus infrastructure. It looks like a common general college. The canteen is bad and worse, and there is no cafeteria at night, nothing is excepted from the college and hostel. There is one integrated gym in the college, and that is all we count on. There is no place even for improving the infrastructure. However, cleanliness and maintenance are up to the mark.

Faculty: The course curriculum is like every other college, but the faculty is a big negative point in BIT Patna. BIT, as a whole, is like a family business. No one is concerned about the student. Everyone needs their workout. The faculty is alien to the modern trends and education. Everyone tries to teach you how to pass the exams. No one aims at teaching, something which is substantial. However, a few are there who understands your need.

Other: The administration has many loopholes. Many of the professors are concerned more about politics than the welfare of the students. Every assistant thinks them as the director of the college without even a bit knowledge of it. BIT, Patna needs to review its faculty and administration. The second is the campus, as it is like a rat hole. The Patna school is bigger than the college. I suppose some schools are bigger than BIT. The campus should be re-established somewhere outer and better, like IIT Patna. Choose BIT Patna if it is the last option left, i.e. after all NITs and IITs. Do not get into a black hole. That is what all I can suggest.
