The college is overall good, as every college has its cons.
Placements: Most of the CSE students get placed only on their own merit, as a maximum of 2 or 3 companies visit our college. The placements in core branches are very difficult, and most of the students from the core branches came only for a degree and have other plans in the future, like pursuing higher education or becoming a government engineer. The placements in 2023 are too good. The internship opportunities here are completely 0, as the college doesn’t even provide 1 company for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for hostels and washrooms is very outdated. Though they are cleaned on a daily basis, the buildings are too old and have never been renovated since the college opened. The academic building is quite good in comparison with the hostels, but it still lacks smart classrooms, only two classrooms have these features. AC classrooms are also limited.
Faculty: Most faculty members here don’t even know how to teach, and questions may arrive from topics they haven’t taught, as the paper setters are from BIT MESRA. But the good thing is that you get annually more than 4 months of holidays, which is more than enough for developing skills or doing an internship.
Other: There are yearly 4 events organized in the college, Technika (techno-cultural fest), Prakrida (inter-college sports event), Annual Athletic Meet (intra-college athletic event), and Inter-branch Sports Event. If you are from OBC or EWS, you can get a scholarship if your GPA is 9.0 from the GP BIRLA SCHOLARSHIP. For general category, it’s too hard to get the scholarship. The mess food is good enough, and you get non-veg items on a regular basis.

Satisfied with hostels but not much from the campus and concerned with downhill dropping placements.
Placements: The latest passout batch of 2025 went downhill compared to the past year's placements. As much as I have heard, the average went to 6-7 LPA with a low placement percentage. There were some good companies, like Accenture, which took 5 students at their average salary segment. Apart from these, there's PayPal, which is here only for their female-only placement drive. I am not sure if they're repeating or not. Though there are people who are cracking good internships and placements off campus, you can get senior referrals to get placed well.
Infrastructure: Talking about hostels, they are nice I must say, the food is good as well, But for academic building and overall college infrastructure, it's vaguely average. Campus size is too small, the academic building is small and limited to just 2 floors due to airport limitations. For sports, there's not proper badminton court, volleyball court, which should hopefully be fixed in coming years. Talking about Labs, most of them are outdated with very old teach, but that's the same for all colleges so can't complain on that one, classrooms are nice, library is good as well.
Faculty: Talking about faculty, there's a mix of good and bad. Some of them teach really well, but about the rest. I don't know if they are qualified or not, they can't teach. Half the subjects should be self-studied, and my opinion is heavily based on my branch and not overall faculty. The course curriculum is based on GATE syllabus but at an easier level. The courses will give you an overview of what you should learn. The semester exams are not very tough. They're managed by the main Mesra campus, and most of them pass, with a spare number failing.
Other: For fests, we have two major fests, Technika and Prakrida, and I have been a part of both, and they're really well organized with respect to the college. If you are curious enough to connect with good seniors, you can find the "good crowd" you'd want to grow well. There's a combined scholarship program managed by Mesra Campus, and students at our campus have received scholarships as well.

Placements are average. Some faculty are too good and genius, but the infrastructure is bad.
Placements:
Almost 60–70% of students get placed, and most of them get placed off-campus. The college adds them as on-campus placements, and the on-campus placements are mostly from mass recruiters. Here, I have seen that they show 100% placements in CSE, but it is not 100%. It is only for students whose CGPA is above 7.5.
Infrastructure:
The infrastructure is not so good, and the land area is also less, it's about 23 acres. But the library facilities are too good. The college has a large library with a good amount of books. The ground is also not too big, and the hostel doesn't have any wardrobes, which makes it too bad.
Faculty: Faculty is good overall, and the curriculum is also nice. The exam papers are set by BIT MESRA and sent here, so the level of the examination is the same as theirs. Some faculty members are too bad. Their teaching skills are bad, and their marking is also too bad in exams. They cut unnecessary marks in exams, especially in Chemistry.
Other: Many fests happen, and as I am in my 1st year, I have experienced fests like Technika, athletic meets, and many more. Many workshops also happen here that are good for our development and future.

It's a good option if you are not getting any NIT, IIT or any other good private college.
Placements: Around eighteen percent of students were placed last year. The highest package offered at our college was around 40 lacs, and the average package at CSE was around 14 lacs. The highest package was taken by a student on campus. Internships are not as good as at other colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent and you will see greenery around the campus. The college is small as compared to other NITs. You will get a LAN network in your hostel; classrooms are not good, and the library is also not, but a special digital library is there.
Faculty: Teachers have done there higher education at some good institutes. Some of the teachers are unhelpful and there teaching style is to teach students how to mumble the answers. We get less time to complete our semester exam, which can be a reason for such teacher behavior. Semester exams are more or less average.

It is a good college with good facilities and teachers.
Placements: Nearly 40% of the students got placed from college. The college was established a few years before and needs improvement in placement cell. The highest salary package offered was 3.2 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. Companies such as TCS, Extra Mark, Genpact and Capgemini visited our campus for recruitment. Students had to do their internship by themselves. They have to either for BSNL Or any IT company. The roles offered in course are like leadership, branch co-coordinator and many more.
Infrastructure: As the college newly established the infrastructure is very good. The college provides facilities such as Wi-Fi, library, playground, gym and labs. The hostel facilities were average. The food served was very common. Sports facilities were very good, and the college provided many sports kits.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very good. They helped us in every problem either in studies or any other problem in college. Many teachers were well educated and highly qualified. This course had more demand in the industry field and technology. If students do hard work, they can build themself for the industry.
Other: I did BE in computer science engineering in 2019 from BIT Patna. This course is very good for IT field industry and is currently in demand. The things to be improved in the course were to provide good programming skills and teachers. The college organises fest and cricket tournament so that students can participate and show their skills.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra - Patna Extension Center.
Placements: Placements of BIT Mesra Patna campus is above average. Around 40 students out of 60 students in the computer science branch got placed in IT companies like Wipro Vodafone, Reliance. The highest salary package offered is 23 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. If you join this institute, you will be satisfied with the placements scenario.
Infrastructure: There are three boy's hostels and a girl hostel. Rooms are neat and clean. There is a microprocessor lab, digital electronics lab, microwave and VLSI lab and also other labs for electronics branch. There are computer labs which have i7 CPU processors. All labs are equipped with air-conditioner. The mess is similar to other engineering colleges, and it is average. We have one special menu each month.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful up to an extent. You have to depend on yourself and friends to pass your semester exams. If you are self-dependent and social, then you can easily score good marks in exams. Many teachers are PhD holders, and some are pursuing PhD.

College is better than most of the private colleges in terms of placements.
Placements: In our previous batch total, 43 out of 60 students got placed. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA, the highest salary package offered is 22 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The companies who recruited our students were Max software, Amdocs, ZS Associates, Vodafone, Reliance Jio, etc. Around 30% of students got an internship from companies that visited our campus.
Infrastructure: As far as facilities are concerned our campus has provided 3 volleyball courts, 3 badminton courts and a football ground. Hostels provided are neat and clean. Quality of mess food is similar to other government engineering colleges. Hostels are provided with LAN facilities, and labs are air-conditioned.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, and 80% of teachers have done their PhD from prestigious institutions. As far as teaching quality is concerned, it is better than most of the three-tier private colleges but doesn't depend on teachers. Every student has to vigorous self-study to pass the semester exams, and there is no other choice for them.

Birla Institute of Technology is a good college.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students in our college are placed in private companies. Private companies like Vodafone, Reliance Jio, Byju's and Admos, etc., visit the campus for placements. The top recruiter of our college is Byju's. The lowest salary package offered in our college is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has a Wi-Fi campus. There are fully air-conditioned computer lab, fully air-conditioned library and many more. The hostel has a cricket playground, football playground, tennis court, basketball court, badminton court, indoor sports and a common hall with a TV. The quality of the food provided in the hostel is average.
Faculty: facultymembers in our college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They share their knowledge to encourage the students to develop a new thing that can help in the development of society. The course curriculum is nice. The environment of the college is better than some other private colleges.
