Satisfied with placements, but needs more improvement in infrastructure.

Placements: In Information technology, about 80% are placed on campus, the rest are pursuing higher education, and some are placed off campus. The highest package is around 55 LPA, the average is around 17-18 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA in IT. You can get a job opportunity in any field in web development or software engineering.

Infrastructure: The course department is good. Good classrooms and Wi-Fi are available. There is a fully functional and furnished library. There is one problem in the hostel that not everyone is allotted a hostel in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd year it's allotted on merit (rank), gender and category. Wi-Fi is present in the hostel premises.

Faculty: Faculty are generally good, and all are quite supportive. In college, the faculty will only teach you the course, but you yourself have to focus on yourself. The course curriculum is outdated, like any other NIT. Semester exam difficulties depend upon the semester and the paper prepared by teachers, generally, the first semester is easy-going. But it starts to get tough after 2 years. All professors in the IT areas are very supportive.

NIT Raipur is slightly equal to some IITs in India.

Placements: I secured an information technology branch in NIT Raipur, the second most top branch which is equally to CSE branch and consists of 114 students. As per 2024 data, nearly 87% of students are placed in top most companies. Average package is 18.5 LPA, and the highest is 60 LPA. Most students get internships in their 3rd and 4th years while studying.

Infrastructure: It is an old campus that has nearly 60 years of great history. But old infrastructure with greenish campus. There is a big cricket ground, and new built sports complex that consist of all indoor games we can play inside it. Every year, they will conduct a sports meet like a Shourya club. In IITs, there are smart class, lab, and workshop in their branches. There is a big library, and book store is available on campus.

Faculty: Teaching qualities are too good because all have done their Ph.D. Semester exams are moderate and easy. Pass percentage is nearly 94 to 99%.

Other: My course is information technology which is related to computer science and teaching related. Every year they celebrate many fests and events in months, like electrical is big mega event which is conducted in February. Most people enjoy it a lot.

I am talking about the IT branch at NIT Raipur.

Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed. The average package offered is 18 LPA. The lowest package offered is 14 LPA. This is the information for informing technology branch. It is the best branch of our college in terms of salary packages and faculty members. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA. Our seniors are quite well.

Infrastructure: Hostels are fewer but the library is best. Labs are decent but the communication lab is the best place. The computer programming lab and data structures lab are quite well. The new sports complex is well-furnished with a badminton court and table tennis room.

Faculty: Quality faculty especially of the department of physics. The information technology branch also has quite good faculty members. The engineering graphics have quality faculty members. The department of mathematics is also quite well. The department of chemistry faculty members are great. They give good marks.

If you are willing to join NIT Raipur, then you should know this.

Placements: Around or more than 80% of students got placed from our branch having the lowest package at 3.69 LPA and the highest of 54 LPA. Our branch has an average package of 18 LPA. Top recruiters in our college are Microsoft, Google, Adobe, etc.

Infrastructure: Our campus is somewhat small, we have places in our college to hang out but no places to explore. Our college has a Wi-Fi connection and in hostel, we have LAN connections in every room and Wi-Fi is also available in mess. Mess is average. We can get books related to our course subjects in library. We have access to sports, we can play anytime. Even in hostel, we have carrom, chess, badminton, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are good and all are qualified teachers, some teachers are exceptionally good and some are average. Course curriculum is good and makes students industry-ready but students should not depend completely on college. We have one-semester exam and one end-semester exam. End semester exam is somewhat difficult. 75 out of 90 gets passed.

Good NIT Raipur as compared to other IITs and NITs according to academic and unacademic.

Placements: The placements in NIT Raipur are well and good compared to relatively NITs and IITs. The average package is 18 LPA for information technology branch in Raipur. The highest package is 55 LPA. More than 95% of students got placements according to data from Raipur College and the lowest is very high. Many companies hire students.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities in NIT Raipur are very excellent and fantastic. Hostels are limited at the senior hostels under graduation. There are perfect hostels for junior students. Medical facilities, sports, and games are excellent. Canteen is good for eating and is hygienic.

Faculty: Faculty members at NIT Raipur are very highly professor-talented teachers and lecturers, in every smart class and labs. Quality of teaching is outstanding. Semester papers are standard levels for the students for placements and your curriculum is good.

Other: Course is very best under high packages and related to technology. Events and fests are very fantastic compared to other colleges. They highly celebrated like a grand festival and extracurricular activities conducted every weekend.
