The aspirants of M.Tech courses shall first check out the eligibility requirements, i.e., a valid BE/BTech degree from a recognised university. Eligible candidates can visit the institute’s official website (bitmesra.ac.in) to apply. Admission to BIT Mesra M.Tech is based on merit in the GATE exam and academic performance. For the final selection, 80% weightage is given to the GATE score and 20% weightage to Academic Performance. Aspirants without a GATE score can also apply. For non-GATE qualified candidates, the selection is based on Interview and Academic Performance.

Admission to the BIT Mesra Ranchi offered courses is entrance-based. As per some external sources, the candidates with first rank from all central and state exams in India can be offered direct admission to the course of their choice. In addition, aspirants applying directly will have to submit the relevant documents as well for verification purposes. After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main.
