What is the weightage for Stage 1 of CEPT admission process?

During CEPT admission, candidates with exceptional performance will be given direct admission. Other candidates must appear for personal interview round to be shortlisted for admission. The candidate's CV and Work experience will be given 5% weightage, while last qualifying exam will be given 10% weightage. The submitted statement of purpose and recommendation letters will receive 15%, while candidate's portfolio is given 50%.

Yes. authorities will conduct personal interviews to select candidates for admission into courses offered by Univesity. While exceptional candidates will be given direct admission, other candidates will have to sit for a personal interview and get a green light from authorities for admission. When will CEPT entrance exam be conducted?

CEPT 2026 entrance exam will be in July 2026. The authorities will release CEPT 2026 dates. The entrance examination will be held as an offline test. To be considered eligible for admission, candidates must qualify for the entrance examination.

Where can I check the CEPT entrance exam pattern?

The authorities will release the CEPT entrance exam pattern online at admissions.cept.ac.in. Candidates will be able to check the details regarding how the entrance exam will be held through the CEPT exam pattern. The authorities will not use any other mode to release the exam pattern of CEPT. All candidates are advised to carefully check the CEPT exam pattern so that they are able to know how the exam will be conducted and accordingly prepare for it.

What is the Stage 2 of CEPT admission process?

During the Stage 2 of CEPT admission process, the candidates will be allotted in the remaining seats. It is also to be noted that the score secured in the Stage I of the admission process cannot be carried forward to Stage II. All candidates will have to be physically present at the campus for Stage II of the admission process. The weightage for Part A (Test) and Part B (Personal Interview) is 60% and 40%, respectively.

What is the mode of CEPT MArch exam?

CEPT MArch exam will be held as an offline test. All candidates will have to attempt the entrance examination of CEPT MArch to be considered qualified for the admission process. During the examination, the candidates will be assessed on their ability to ability to analyse, describe, visualise and imagine. It is to be noted that the pattern will differ as per the course selected by the candidates.

CEPT entrance exam pattern for MDes courses is such that the written test is conducted in two parts:

Part	Exam Name	Weightage
I	FD PG Common Design Aptitude Test	30%
II	FD PG Subject Specific Design Aptitude Test	50%

Part I of CEPT entrance exam is a common written test for Faculty of Deign (FD) PG course applicants, known as FD PG Common Design Aptitude Test. The written test is of one hour duration. At this stage no distinction is made on the specialisation selected by a candidate.

Part II of CEPT entrance exam, FD PG Subject Specific Design Aptitude Test, is conducted separately for different courses (Interior Design, Interior Architectural Design, Furniture Design, Building Products & Systems) as per the specialisation selected by a candidate. The duration of the test is one and a half hours.
