
CEED Exam Centre 2026 - The national-level exam will be conducted in 27 cities across India. IIT Bombay released the list of exam cities for CEED 2026 on the official website.
The candidate can select CEED 2026 exam centres when filling out the CEED application form. A maximum of THREE exam centres in the order of priority can be selected.
The name of the CEED 2026 exam centre, including the name and address, reporting time, and other key details, will be mentioned in the CEED 2026 admit card. The CEED 2026 exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026 (9 am - 12 noon). Candidates appearing in the CEED exam are advised to reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the CEED admit card. CEED Admit card was issued on January 02, 2026 on the candidate portal.

Note that once an exam centre has been allocated, there is no scope to change it. In fact, CEED officials will not entertain any requests for a change in the exam centre.
The details of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the CEED 2026 admit card. The allotment of CEED 2026 exam centre will done on the basis of the exam city seelcted by the candidate. Exam officials will also consider other factors like the address of the candidate and seat intake available in various exam centres in that particular city.
IIT Bombay will release the exam cities for CEED 2026. The list can be found in the CEED 2026 Information Brochure. In the previous edition, the design entrance exam was held in 27 cities.
Note that exam officials have the authority to drop a city in some cases.

Eligibility Criteria for CEED M.Des 2026
Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for CEED Entrance Exam and B.Des Admission through CEED.
- Candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2 level) or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2026, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2026.
- Eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from those for appearing for CEED. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying to any institute.
- There is no age limit to appear for CEED.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts. A candidate can attempt CEED any number of times.

The application form for CEED 2026 is closed now.
When filling form, the candidate should compulsorily choose THREE cities in the order of preference. There is no option to select an exam centre when filling out the form. Candidate can only select an exam city.
IIT Bombay will not release the detailed list of CEED 2026 exam centres. It has, however, released the list of exam cities where the CEED 2026 exam will be conducted.
The name of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the CEED 2026 admit card.
The allotment of exam centres will be done based on the exam city selected by the candidate, address of the candidate, exam centres available in the selected cities and also seat intake.
Note that each of the exam cities may have one or more exam centres.

No, mock tests are not the same as CEED question or sample papers.
It is because the main purpose of the mock tests is to help the candidate get acquainted with the exam pattern and system, especially if the exam is conducted in an online mode. The mocks will allow the candidate get accustomed with the exam mode, navigation, scoring, and answering patterns. To some extent it also may help the candidate improve problem-solving and time-managment skills, which are typically the exclusive domain of CEED sample papers.
Additionally, mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few days of the exam. On the other hand, sample papers are typically solved even in the early stages of exam preparation.
IIT Bombay is exam conducting body for CEED 2026. The institute, however, doesn’t prescribed any study material for the exam.

CEED Exam Day Guidelines 2026
Candidates appearing in CEED 2026 are advised to go through the exam day instructions mentioned on the admit card carefully. Candidates are advised on the items and documents that they can carry inside the examination hall below.
What to carry on CEED exam day?
Since part B of CEED Exam is a subjective test, candidates have to carry stationery like pencils, sketch pens, poster colours and other drawing materials to the exam centre. Apart from this, candidates need to ensure that they carry the documents mentioned below positively to their CEED test centre.
- CEED Admit Card: Candidates need to carry a coloured printout of CEED admit card to the exam centre. The admit card is needed to record the biometric information of candidates at the centre.
- ID Proof: Candidates need to carry a valid and original photo ID proof to their CEED exam centre. Documents that can be presented as an ID proof include college issued identity card, passport, driving license, PAN card, Voter ID or Aadhaar card.
- Stationary: Candidates must carry their own stationary items such as pens, pencils, sketch pens and colours
What not to carry on CEED exam day?
Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadget such as mobile phone, calculator, smart/digital watch inside the exam hall. Use of any electronic gadget during the exam could disqualify a candidate, as per the official website. Candidates are also not allowed to carry any drawing sheet.

The list of CEED 2026 exam cities has been released by IIT Bombay. The list is given in the CEED information brochure. The candidate can download the brochure at ceed.iitb.ac.in.
CEED exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026. On the day of exam, candidate must report at the exam centre at 7 am. The reporting time will also be mentioned on the admit card. Exam will be from 9 AM to 12 PM at the centres.
