DU CUET UG 2023 Advance intimation slip for exam city has been released on May 14. The DU CUET UG 2023 Admit Card will from May 18 onwards, three days before the exam. Recently, on students request NTA reopened the DU CUET UG application correction window from May 1 to 2. Application form correction link was available at the official website of CUET UG-cuet.samarth.ac.in. DU CUET UG 2023 exam is scheduled to be held between May 21 to May 31. NTA has also reserved June 1 to June 7 for the exam.Earlier, DU CUET UG application correction window was available from April 1 to 3. 

As per UGC chairman the exam will be held in three shifts depending on the number of candidates and subject choices. Notably, there will be no change in the exam pattern or subject choices and syllabus.

NTA introduced Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to UG courses of Delhi University.

What is DUET 2023?

Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) is conducted by Delhi University in order to offer admission to aspirants in MPhil and PhD programmes. DUET 2023 exam is likely to be conducted in three shifts across 101 exam centres in 18 cities. In 2019, a total of 3,67,895 candidates had registered for Undergraduate courses (UG) while 1,54,075 candidates had registered for Postgraduate (PG) courses.

DUET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

DUET Eligibility criteria is different for different course. The minimum eligibility requirement for different courses are given below -

DUET Eligibility Criteria 2023 for BTech

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 with 60% marks in aggregate in four subjects which must include Mathematics as compulsory subject.

DUET Eligibility Criteria 2023 for BA Hons Humanities and Social Sciences

  • Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in four subjects in Class 12.

DUET Eligibility Criteria 2023 for BA Hons Multimedia and Mass Communication Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with 75% marks in four subjects. They must have secured 85% in English. Candidates can include Mass Media Studies as an academic subject among best four subjects.

MCom

Must have completed graduation in Commerce. The qualifying mark is 50% for general, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST

MEd

Graduated in BEd,  BABEd, BElEd or DElEd with 50% marks

DUET 2023 Admission Process

Candidates will have to first register themselves on the official website of the university before filling the application form, which will be online. Once the registration has been filled, candidates can fill up the application form. 

Step 1: Fill DU Application Form

Aspirants need to fill the DUET application form online on the official website of Delhi University. Aspirants are informed that in order to fill the application form for DU entrance exam for UG course admissions they need to register on DU’s admission portal 'UG Admissions 2023 (Entrance Based)' and for PG admissions through 'PG Admissions 2023'. Applicants need to upload their photograph and scanned signature such that it is maximum of 50 KB in size and is in JPG/ JPEG/ PNG format.

Step 2: Download DUET Admit Card

Candidates need to download their DUET admit card from the official website of Delhi University by filling in their form number and date of birth on the entrance exam portal. Aspirants were not allowed to take DUET if they are not carrying a valid DUET admit card on the exam day.

Step 3: Appear for Delhi University Entrance Test

Students need to appear for DUET as per the schedule mentioned on their DUET admit card. Aspirants are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before commencement of the exam.

Step 4: Check DUET Result

NTA announces the results of DUET. Candidates can access their result from the official website. 

Step 5: Appear for Interview/Group Discussion Round

In some PG courses offered at Delhi University, candidates who clear Delhi University Entrance Test need to appear for an interview/group discussion round. The courses in which interview/group discussion after DUET entrance exam is conducted are mentioned below:

Don'ts

Carry your DUET admit card 2019 to the exam centre 

Do not reach the exam centre late or else you will not be allowed to appear in the exam 

Carry one prescribed photo-identity proof for verification 

Do not carry electronic items or gadgets inside the exam centre

Reach the exam centre early to avoid last-minute hassle

Q:   When will DUET/ DU CUET-PG 2024 exam be held?
A: 

DU CUET PG 2024 exam dates have been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). DU CUET PG 2024 exam dates are available both at CUET PG and Delhi University website. CUET UG 2024 exam will be conducted from May 15 to May 31, 2024. NTA released the official notification for CUET UG exam date on September 19, 2023 . Candidates will be notified about the exam details soon after the release of notification. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2024 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam.

Q:   When will DU CUET UG application correction window open?
A: 
DU CUET UG 2023 application correction window was reopened from May 1 to 2. Earlier, DU CUET UG 2023 application correction link was released on April 1 at the official website of CUET UG. The last date to make changes in the CUET UG application form was April 3. The CUET UG official website is as follows CUET.samarth.ac.in. Notably, candidates were not required to pay any extra fee to make changes in the application form of DU CUET UG. Earlier also the application window was reopened by the National Testing Agency, the exam conducting body on students request. Application process for DU CUET UG closed on April 11, 2023.
Q:   Is it necessary to apply separately for all colleges under DU or CUET or will it be considered as one exam for all colleges?
A: 
If I say the simple answer to your question is No! You don't have to apply separately to all colleges one by one however you have to fill the preference list on COMMON SEAT ALLOCATION SYSTEM (CSAS) after the entrance test known as CUET and you can fill the preference of the college which you want to also consider your score in mind.
