DIT University Course Admissions 2026 (Open): Eligibility, Fees, Application, Selection

DIT University BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters at the UG level. The UG-level course is offered across different specialisations. Some of the specialisations in which the course is offered are Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. The university also offers lateral entry to BTech courses. The university admits candidates to the BTech courses based on JEE scores/merit in Class 12.

Admission to the BTech course is based on the JEE Main score or Class 12 marks. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. It also offers direct admission to the Class 12 toppers (10% seats). Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

DIT Dehradun BA course admission is merit-based. Aspirants who fulfil the eligibility criteria can visit the official website to apply. Shortlisted candidates have to participate in a merit-based counselling process for seat allotment. After document verification and admission fee payment, the seat enrolment is completed. The total tuition fee for the UG course ranges between INR 1.8 Lacs and INR 2.4 lakh. The given fee is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to change and hence, is indicative.

The total tuition fee of MBA is INR 4.8 lakh to INR 6.5 lakh. Other fee component, include academic services fee to be paid along with the tuition fee. The academic service fee will be paid in all the semesters. A concession in tuition fee is given to candidates taking admission through Uttarakhand/ Himalayan State Quota. The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT University Dehradun also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. DIT University admit candidates to the MBA programme based on merit in the national-level examinations. The exams accepted by the university are MAT/XAT/CAT/CMAT/UKSEE. Selected candidates also have to go through group discussion and personal interview rounds. Apart from this, candidate must hold a valid bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. The eligible candidates can visit the official website to register and apply.

The university total fee is cumulative of multiple components such as tuition fee, hostel fee, caution deposit, etc. Candidates have to pay some amount of the total fee at the time of admission for seat confirmation. Moreover, some of the fee components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually/semesterly. DIT University BTech fee tuition fee ranges between INR 3.9 lakh and INR 9.4 lakh. DIT University  admissions are open online for various courses. Till now, no schedule has been released by the university. Since the application portal is live, candidates can apply online for their preferred course. The university may not offer direct admission as primarily the selection is merit-based. Thus, the aspirants Class 12 scores are considered. However, for the BSc Nursing course, students have to take the DITU Nursing Entrance Test. To enquire about admission under management quota, the students should reach out to the admission office. 

Yes, DIT University offers scholarship solely to girls called Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship for girls students. This scholarship is applicable to UG programmes. Scholarship of 10% on tuition fee is applicable for Girl students in first year of UG programmes under to conditions:

• Student has scored 80% & above in Class 10 & 12 aggregate
• Scholarship percentage will remain same for all categories of admission

To continue the above scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and above every year, without any back paper, UFM and Indiscipline case
